Playoff rankings Miami #7

UNC and Iowa State are not the same.

Yeah, and winning and losing are not the same.

Miami won vs UNC.

TCU & Oklahoma lost vs Iowa State

This isn't rocket science.

It's not rocket science, yet you still don't get it.

I don't see you people claiming that the committee hates Wisconsin.

As a UM fan, why would I be complaining about the committee hating Wisconsin? I'll leave that to their fanbase.

But, come on. Tell us who Wisconsin has beaten that is comparable to VT.

Waiting...

You are a lying sack.

You never said "clear path". You said that Miami controls its own destiny, win and they are in. And that is still not true.

We jumped NONE of the 1-loss teams that were ahead of us.

There is no guarantee that the loser of Alabama-UGa drops below us. The TCU-OU winner may stay ahead of us. And Wisconsin and Washington may still jump us.

We have a "clear path" - if Miami wins out AND certain teams lose (particularly if TCU and OU face each other in the Big 12 Championship game and they each win one).

If we go undefeated we are going to the playoff. Thinking otherwise is idiotic.

Nobody said "thinking otherwise". This has NOTHING to do with anyone's opinion, it has to do with looking at how the CFP are voting.

"Miami hasn't beaten anyone". Then we do. They move us up ONE SPOT over teams ahead of us who won.

Not to mention the fact that Ohio Taint and Ped State already lost.

So, again, we were ASSISTED by factors outside of our control. Do you honestly believe that if Ohio Taint and Ped State had won that we would be any higher than #9 ?

Yes, we are going to benefit from other teams losing. It is NOT all about Miami "winning out". Just as I said last week.

You're wrong. It is all about Miami winning out. If we win out, we are in. Simple as that. That would be two top-10 wins and a third top-15 win.

And they aren't "Top 10" and "Top 15" wins until the END of the season.

Not sure why people can't handle two concepts at the same time.

Miami needs to win. Miami needs certain teams to win (our opponents, when we aren't playing them) and lose (everyone else possible).

Two simple concepts. But people are in denial that for the second time in a row, Notre Dame, Clemson, Oklahoma, and TCU are ahead of us.

We need several dominoes to go down, and not just 4 UM wins.

Unlike certain buffoons, I have never claimed that nobody ahead of us would lose, only that we needed them to lose. If they all kept winning, we were going to get stuck at the bottom of the Top 10. If 2 massive upsets didn't just happen, we would be sitting at #9 .

Nobody can deny that. But certain nitwits are going to project the end of the season the way that they want to.

Look, I don't think we should be behind ANY of the 1-loss teams. But we are. And we only jumped 1-loss teams that went to 2-loss teams. That's not my imagination or opinion.

We control some things, and we need some help.

You need to relax. We're seventh. We play two of the teams above us and the other four teams face off against each other. If we win out, we're in; there no way the loser of the SEC championship game gets in over an undefeated Miami. In fact, it will be the loser of that game that will need help, that other 1 loss teams will lose.

So in what scneario of us winning out do we not make the college football playoff? Please enlighten me.

Exactly. I want to see the scenario that has 12-0 Miami at #5 . This should be good.

You didn't listen last week, why will you listen this week?

Notre Dame is already NUMBER THREE because they lost to NUMBER ONE. What makes you think that the 1-point loser of Alabama-UGa will drop below us?

Notre Dame, VaTech, and Clemson might still lose games, and be lesser "quality victories" over the next month.

Wisconsin and Washington COULD jump us.

Any one of those three things, or all three of those things, could happen. But you still won't admit it.

All of you nitwits are basing your arguments on the CFP suddenly getting smart and realizing that undefeated teams should be ranked higher than 1-loss teams. Which, of course, hasn't happened for 2 weeks. And there are only 4 votes left.

Right, because Oklahoma lost credit when Ohio State lost.

"They hate us!!!!!"

And Ohio Taint is STILL NUMBER THIRTEEN.

Meanwhile, VaTech has already fallen to #17 , and might be out of the Top 25 if they don't win out.

So, again...

To review for the idiots...

1-loss Oklahoma's BEST WIN is still better than undefeated Miami's BEST WIN.

That's NOT MY OPINION. That is how the voters are voting.

I don't care if you don't like it. I don't care if you think it shouldn't be true.

We will not have the final measure of "quality wins" until the end of the season. And, if the CFP votes 4 more times to ignore Miami's body of work, we could fall outside the Final Four.

I don't care what the percentage likelihood is, it is very real based on current voting behavior. Which will not change unless the voters are changed.

Rece davis isn’t such a ******. Arrogant prick. I hate watching that guy. Almost as bad as Jamel a hall.

some things you just can see coming from a mile away, and right now I can see this committee under the leadership of Hocuunnt completely phucking this up

It doesn't matter. But TCU ahead of us is a joke

not directing this at you specifically but for people saying it doesn't matter...

it doesn't f*cking matter

TCU basically wins out with 1 loss and they are IN

we lose 1 game and we are eliminated. we play in a better conference! wtf kinda stupid *** bias is this?

basically richt can go 12-1 win the ACC and may be left out because of potential loss to ND(Even if close)

and TCU can get in with a loss to an iowa state team that will finish with 4-5 losses

Guys, this is an Elimination Game.

Beat the Irish and our problems our solved.

Until next week. We’re Miami:we can’t afford to lose.

There's no way the loser of the SEC CG gets in over an undefeated Miami?

Why, because you say so?

There is already a 1-loss team at #3 who lost to #1 . ALREADY. Why do you think that the CFP would punish Alabama for losing by 1 to UGa in Atlanta?

You are just willfully ignoring ACTUAL EVIDENCE that the CFP is already voting FOUR 1-loss teams ahead of Miami. Just because you want it to be different doesn't make it different.

Why would we compare Wisconsin to Miami? You people are claiming that winning against ANYONE is better than losing a single game. So you should be explaining why Wisconsin deserves to be tied for first with Alabama, Georgia, Miami, and UCF, ahead of Notre Dame, Clemson, and OKlahoma.

Your bias is showing.

Look, I THINK the ACC is better than the Big 12. But the committee and ap writers and coaches don't seem to think that. The Big 12 and ACC both have the same number of teams ranked in the CFP rankings, but in the other two polls the Big 12 actually has more.

They are killing Wisconsin man, the disrespect is incredible haha. I want Miami and Wisconsin to end up in the top 4. Fck Finebaum

I'm pretty sure they are trying to make an argument for bama georgia and auburn to make the playoffs!!
How in all that's holy is lsu ranked ???

This is what happens when you defend a position a little too long. You have to go full ****** to keep defending it.

There is a 0.0000% chance that we go undefeated and finish #5 or lower.

some things you just can see coming from a mile away, and right now I can see this committee under the leadership of Hocuunnt completely phucking this up

Frank Beamer is on the committee too.

That is 2 out of 13 votes already who are no fans of Miami.

Clemson's AD. That's 3 votes.

Ohio Taint's AD. That's 4 votes.

Tyrone Willingham, formerly of ND. That's 5 votes.

A former NCAA Executive VP? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That's 6 votes.

THREE guys who are connected (or formerly connected) to non-Power Five institutions.

Now, tell me again, WHO ON THAT COMMITTEE IS SUDDENLY GOING TO START LOOKING AT MIAMI'S BODY OF WORK TO ARGUE FOR A HIGHER RANKING?

Wisconsin SHOULD be ahead of TCU & Oklahoma right now, just like Miami should be.

Again, this isn't rocket science. Losses to Iowa State aren't more impressive than wins over every team on your schedule...except in the committee's fantasy world.

(Nice try bringing UCF into the discussion, though).

Oh, and by the way, YOU'RE the one who brought Wisconsin into in the first place.

Remember the only reason we are around all is because of Mark Richt. People respect him that much.

We’re at seven because Committee members are now finding ways to discount the VaTech game. The Disrespect towards these players is palpable.

TCU my ***.

The Committee wants Notre Dame to go out and beat us. Trust me. They don’t want us around.

This team needs to crash the party.

No one, NO ONE, thinks Wisconsin is one of the best six teams in the country, much less the best four.

UCF has won all of their games. It shouldn't matter who you beat or how close the games are. GOING UNDEFEATED IS MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN LOSING ANY GAME.

Lol at a one loss Miami team making it to the playoffs. Some of you are naive and delusional.
