Players quit basically Manny said

Hmmm.... interesting because kids that'll quit once will certainly quit again. UM had a New Year's day bowl game on the line, a 9-1 finish this season which was marred by a pandemic and a chance to win 10/11 games. The psyche of these kids is hard to understand. They have no mental resolve, mental toughness at all. If they felt snubbed by the committee storm the field and kick the crap out of UNC instead of laying on your back and spreading your legs.
mental toughness is portray by the head man : Just look at Sabans demeanor and Manny's demeanor

so im totally confused.....miami has no team pride? no self respect to play your best at all times? no player accountability? no coaching accountability? none of those things, but now all of a sudden they are mad about ND? ok coRch. What was the excuse for self destructing against clemson again?
that game was to early in the year, this one was to late, who the **** knows : all i know is every time we play a top ten school we get smoke :

That's EXACTLY his job.

His job is to be a leader and have a disciplined team that's motivated. So he's entailed to do that. If you want to say it's the player's fault exclusively, then he's failed to recruit kids who have the proper mindset to self-motivate.

No matter how you all try to wiggle out of it, it's solely Mannure's job to put a team on the field that doesn't quit. If they do he's failed in one of those two ways, or both.

It's also his job to recruit players leaders, kids who love the game and don't quit just bc they don't like what's going on around them....things they can't control. Does that mean they would have quit several games ago if they had 2 losses? Does that mean they'll quit next year after losing the 1st game?

Posters can say players didn't quit but i call BS to the loudest possible level. You don't give up 500 yards rushing with ANY sort of effort. Period. A loss is a loss, and while painful and tough to accept at times, they happen. If the team played hard and lost, it's easier to accept being the less talented or lesser coached team. Saturday was not that.

It wasn't just players though. Coaches quit too though. They quit by not having this team ready to play a ranked team to end the season, for a NY6 Bowl bid. They quit by playing guys who weren't going all out. They quit by NOT making changes to scheme to combat the embarrassment taking place. Why not put 8 in the box? Why not try a 4-3 under with 5 guys on the LOS? Why not do ANYTHING else than what you were doing that sucked. I wouldn't have cared if they play Ford, Nesta, Blissett and Roberts as the down 4 with Phillips as the standup OLB in the 4-3 under. Just do something.

What really irks me more than anything is...Bakers/Diaz's Defensive Philosophy is so Blatantly Non UM...that I honestly don't know where to begin...There needs to be an upheaval on the coaching staff....And as far as Lashlee...I still say he's nothing Special...King saved his *** more times than not....
So what you're saying is..... recruit elite qbs.

Did anybody actually watch the whole game. I remember leaving the crib when the score I think was 24-3..

Man, imagine getting to be sent home from your job in a hospital because you’re “emotional exhausted” by covid... winners win and losers make excuses. I’ll let you fill in the blanks for who Mandy is

agree, I was at the game, in between commercials there was Manny, Blake, and another coach discussing I guess strategy, they come out. we blitz left they run right and the RB is still running. The players quit cause they knew we had no answers for them. Remember Mack Brown was their when Manny got whack by BYU

Absolutely....that should be the case every yr....But in ref to Defense...I've never seen such garbage Gap integrity...and bad angles taken, going back too forever...Bottomline....Garbage coaching....
It was absolutely abysmal.... Hopefully, you, cribby, or someone else hears the bare minimum Baker being fired. 778 yards of offense is a coaching issue. I'm quite certain that Wofford could put a better defensive product on the field.

I left in the second quarter, and I don't think I will be coming back for a while: the experience at the stadium is like being in a prison, no spirit, dead as a door nail. You got more staff then fans, their nice folks, but they are more concern masks and protocols: every 5 minutes you have an inspection. There was a group in front of us, two couples. One guy was lowering his mask to say hi to some other folks, before kick off the attendant show up with a female cop and escorted both couples out of the stadium : at the time I felt bad for them, that's before the S*** show started :

It's gotten to the point i'm equally worried in ref to who we currently have, vs who we'd get as replacements...You honestly want to leave that in Manny's hands and the Shalala Coffee retriever??

I was emotionally exhausted too after watching UNC run that counter-play over and over and over and over again for 17 yards or so a pop on average.

I hate that emotionally exhausted suggestion. Even if it's true, you focus on the other aspect: taking it as an opportunity to grow and push through. Sure, the players, staff, and almost everyone working through this weird *** year are emotionally/physically spent.

Would have preferred "we were outcoached, outprepared, and I didn't do enough to motivate the players when we got hit in the mouth. My players deserve more from me and our entire staff. We will grow from it." But, I guess you have to mean it.

Does anyone have Coach Diaz's office number in the Hecht? Going to send him a book on Stoicism. Hopefully, he doesn't quote from it to the players, though. "Guys, Seneca said that external forces are correlated to..."
