Dad just basically lost his son a spot for next year. I assume they have something lined up. With the injury, no film, and public distractions I hope they aren’t going out on a limb in the portal.

If your son is as good as you think, relax and let him develop. All the freshmen played but your son and you blame the coach. That doesn’t make sense. There’s obviously a willingness to play freshman. Has your son beat out the guys in front?

Also made it harder for his son to find a new home entering the portal. A "meddlesome dad" is not something people want to add to a program. Unless it's a low level program where he will play regardless.
 
This reminds me of the situation last year with Tirek Austin-Cave at Pitt. His dad did not post on Twitter that I know of, but someone on CIS posted that they saw his dad chewing out Coach Patke in the stadium. Of note, Tirek hit the portal.

I really don't know how to judge his performance, it's on steele and him for all blown coverages. On the other hand Ivey is one of the most talented CB's on the roster so not sure he gets pulled the first year like gattis does?

Addae might be a bad coach and might be a guy that needs to go, but I trust Mario will do what is right to move the process forward.

However anyone supporting a grown man going to twitter and handling his business with female energy needs to stand corrected. His father was so wrong and definitely deserves a conversation from Mario and possibly an exit strategy from the program.

.......and STILL isn't playing.

Some parents need to take the biased emotion out of it and take a step back at times, especially when the kid is young and still developing. Those types of public actions don't help any parties involved in that situation.

nobody is even attacking him, which would imply that we're going on social media and putting him in his place. We're on a message board just discussing that it was a weak *** move by someone who played and coaches the game.. regardless of whether he's a parent or not
