Places to EAT in ORLANDO during Bowl Week

Orlando is like a ****** strip mall. Those restaurants are who's who of salmonella and botchilism.

Bull Crap Orlando has a lot of very good eateries at every price point. Your full of **** an I am straight up calling you out on this. Many excellent Chef's have restaurants in Orlando. **** Emeril Lagasse has several restaurants in Orlando and lives here. He even has a show about Florida restaurants , and most the time he is covering restaurants in Metro Orlando.

I'll agree to a certain extent. Having lived in San Antonio recently for two years where I moved from Orlando, comparing restaurants allowed me to appreciate Orlando in that respect. But there usually isn't **** to do in Orlando as Universal and Disney gets old real quick.

Emeril's is OK at best. Having grown up in Orlando, I don't agree with Chise's exact wording, but a good 85% of the eats in Orlando aren't unique AT ALL and mostly chain restaurants you can find elsewhere in the country (case in point: every single restaurant you suggested is a chain btw). Are there good restaurants? Sure, but for folks traveling to Orlando, it makes no sense to travel out of the way to visit a restaurant that's ultimately not worth the drive. If you're visiting, just enjoy the game and eat to keep yourself alive.

My wife and I were up there in October. The Ranch House on International Drive is pretty good if you're just looking for a good steak.

Why does it not surprise me that Orlando is Paranos' type of town? God bless the poor *******. That said, I'd watch "Dining with Paranos". It could highlight the under the radar culinary gems of Jersey. "There's this diner next to Bergen Catholic that the Miami staff NEEDS to check out..."

All the good restaurants are in winter park, I drive is a touristy ****hole.

Luma
Ravenous Pig
Armandos
Prato
Bospherous
Siam Garden (looks like ****hole, best thai food)

This is actually the best advice in this thread.

I applaud Paranos for his organizing efforts this bowl season.

I picked most of places taking into account out of town vistors would staying down by I drive, Lake Buena Vista, and Airport area. So driving to winter park would a bit of a haul.

Also there are good restaurants all over not just winter park, there are area's such as Restaurant Row ( west sand lake road)\ Doctor Phillips, there is Waterford Lakes, then there are several good ones in various upscale hotels.

I am merely giving suggestions that are conveniently located.
