Places to EAT in ORLANDO during Bowl Week

Went back to the Orlando area in late summer of this year. I lived there from 1980 to 1983 (when Orlando was in the "305") and pretty much everything that was there then has been buldozed for the latest and greatest...With the Steak and Ale in Maitland demolished, there is only one restaurant I know of that is still in it's same location, serving the same food it always has...

They have pictures in the place that date back to the 70s and it really hasn't changed too much...Have some chicken and biscuits in a place that is authentic Central Florida before everyone moved there!

It took ******* 10.5 hours to get to Orlando instead of 7.5. Always ******* traffic around Gainesville/ Ocala. We just ended up going to Ale House and getting drunk. Full of WVU fans who are a cross between toothless hillbillies and Jersey Shore.

I'll throw in Columbia (for everything, Spanish/Cuban in Celebration, best place in Orl), Giordano's (deep dish pizza), Stonington's (shrimp), and Corona's (cigars and drinks). Julie at Capital Grille makes the best Old Fashioned on the planet (especially with Booker's Bourbon).

Overall Orlando is basically a giant outlet mall and a ****** place to live for variety of reasons. Wingstop is a top 5 establishment in Otown, seriously.
