Piecing together Richt's staff (with updates)

I have a sneaking suspicion that we are talking to Kevin Steele and Corey Raymond in light of the Les Miles turmoil.

How about Craig Kuligowski for Defensive Coordinator/ Defensive Line Coach. Best D-line coach in the country and it is not even close.

For DL coach sure.

Not sure why anyone would want a rookie DC here after what we've seen on D recently, and considering Richt is going to be handing that person the reigns.

He's been the DL coach at Mizzou for 20 years. I would think he would know how to run a defense if that's what he wanted to do

20 years at the same position says to me "ceiling". Doesn't mean he is bad at what he does, obviously, or he would not have lasted so long. It just tells me he has maxed his potential.

Don't know how true it is but the South Carolina board said he can't recruit

We are a college team, he makes his players into All-Americans and all conference players so he must be doing something right as far as recruiting. I'll gladly take a few of those on my squad doesn't matter to me if they bust out in the NFL.

DL coach. I'm going to assume that the Defensive Coordinator is going to also be the Assistant HC.

Curtis Johnson is going to get a lot of attention from the NFL.

He's a highly regarded in the NFL.

Is the Corey Raymond interest legit? He would be a home run hire as a co defensive coordinator with someone like Ed Oregeron

What about a Miami guy like Winston Moss coming back down here as LB coach/DC or Co-DC. Great resume in the NFL and highly regarded.

Heard a rumor

So please tifiw because this info didn't directly come from me but apparently UM is considering hiring Bill Cowher to coach linebackers. Last week, my buddy's girlfriend was over and she told me so. She used to coach dbs for the Falcons and comes from an NFL family (dad coached for 20+ years in the league, brother is a head coach, uncle is a personnel guy etc). Moreover, she is under the impression that Richt was the second choice ( Pete Carroll had interest, but paul Allen wouldn't let him dip out of Seattle). this part I did actually confirm thru another source (my nephew runs high school track with a lions quality control coach).

Now, please don't shoot the messenger because this stuff hasn't been vetted thru the proper channels (i.e., Tim cheeseburger Reynolds) but I overheard my dentist's receptionist on the phone with an NFL agent who had heard similar rumors.
