Piecing together Richt's staff (with updates)

LOL yes lets keep a useless recruiter like Corley on staff because after all neithr Miami nor Mark Richt have ever recruited elite QBs.

If Coley is retained it is a waste of a spot. He is a useless coach, and an FSU piece of trash.

After the soft mentality Golden was drilling into the players and coaches heads, and comments from guys like Brown and Scott, I don't want to retain a single member of the staff.

In my mind, every one of them has been tainted by working under Al. They carry that Golden gene in them now and at any moment they could tell the media 8 wins is good at Miami now because things have changed, or they might bring out some small vanilla cones to their unit during a heated scrimmage.

I'm in favor of burning this thing to the ground. Firing squad on the whole group and start fresh.

1:35 in, I don't spend time daily with Hurlie but that's some soft comments right there. Sounds just like Golden.

All coaches talk like that. Read a piece once about a successful head coach talking about what he had learned from saban about running a program. He sounded shockingly like al. al worked his "magic" with fan, the school, and the press for so long because he SOUNDED like a guy who knew wtf he was doing. Coaches often talk about "being multiple" and "getting it cleaned up" and how "it starts with me". I wouldn't judge a coach by what he says to the media. When was the last time you heard one say that the other team was crap and anything less than a 4 TD win was failure? Doesn't mean the good ones aren't thinking it.

That's why I said I don't see his every day work ethic. But I still stand by what I said and I've never heard any coach worth a salt say they were happy with 9 wins and basically saying that fans need to accept it because things have changed, sorry but that's soft. And like I said I love Hurlie, great guy. I'm just saying, spending 4+ years with the guy who talks about cheeseburgers, don't rise to the occasion, and bend don't break has rubbed off on the guy otherwise he wouldn't be talking like that.

Assitance tends to echo their HC and coordinators or they want be assitance for long. Barrow elected to quit siting his mother's illness as a reason. I doubt Hurley has the same financial ability to do so....

Richt said he honestly believes Miami is “a sleeping giant.” And he clearly believes he’s the man to awaken it. His ability to recruit South Florida was formidable at Georgia. The thinking is he’ll be extremely tough to beat as an in-state resident.

Meanwhile, several members of Georgia coaching staff remain in limbo. John Lilly, Bryan McClendon and Tracy Rocker are among those who haven’t been designated an assignment beyond the Taxslayer Bowl. It’s safe to say some of them may end up with him at “The U.”

“We’ll let everybody know when the time comes,” he said.

Looks like Lilly and McClendon are in.

Rocker has alot of suitors and may stay in the SEC.

Watch out for a certain NFL head coach to get some traction as a possible DC/Asst HC. We have the $.

Dan Quinn

It's Dan Quinn's first year as coach in Atlanta.

Might be his last.....but seriously, he's gonna have to make some coaching changes after the season. A guy like Raheem Morris might be available. Morris has been a college DC before and I think he'd do well at UM. Just throwing crap against the wall just like everyone else is doing..

I'm a bucs fan, I thought Raheem Morris wasnt great by any means but he did finish 10-6 one year and his defenses were pretty good

Dan Quinn is not going to get fired and even if he does just about every NFL team will want the guy who was the Seahawks DC just a year ago to be their DC. Laughable to think he comes here as a DC or even as a HC.

Scott and McClendon as CO-OC, Jon richt qb/st, Tim Harris rb, beard wr, Lilly te/recruiting coordinator, Mario cristobal ol/ahc(and a **** ton of money), rocker de, brown lb, Mike rumph cb(for all you former player fanatics), and last but not least ED ORGERON as DC...well coached and will dominate south Florida recruiting... Scott and McClendon can have other responsibilities

Would for sure be an elite staff,

Mark richt-hc/qb
McClendon rb/co-oc
Lilly te/co-oc
Little richt-assistant qb/st
Ol-Neil Calloway
Wr-beard

Dc/associate hc-pagano
Dl-Kevin Patrick
Lb-Michael barrow
Db-Todd Hartley

Reading the tea leaves, I have a hard time seeing Kevin Beard on the next staff. There are certain coaches Mark Richt has been seen publicly with and to my knowledge the Richt and Beard haven't been seen together in public since he's been out locking up the EEs.

We all know Mark D'Onofrio, Paul Williams and Randy Melvin haven't been on the trail, they already know they are done at UM.

Hurlie Brown, Ice Harris, Art Kehoe, James Coley and Larry Scott have been out doing their thing for UM with Richt.

Unless, somebody else has better intel, I'm leaning on KB being shown the door after the bowl game.
