I have not seen a convincing argument that can prove to me that Belk is better than Steele, in fact, quite the opposite.

The rat part really isn’t about the coaching firing or interviews. Can’t imagine being in the witness chair and saying Elway wasn’t dressed professionally and didn’t take it seriously. LOL

It’s really about Ross telling him to tank games for a better draft pick. NO owners will hire him after he ratted him out. Like it or not.

He might not get hired again & its about minority coaches not getting hired for coaching jobs like white men do…what Ross might have done is icing on the cake..

Probably will be but if Ross offered money to tank, that will not sit well with the online betting services. The biggest problem for sports gambling is the specter of a player/team throwing a game.
the smart way to tank is to do what the 76ers did for years. Continually trade away the best players, every year. Never ask the coach to lose but take away the tools the coach needs to win. That form of tanking is actually above board because the casinos will set the line based on the roster. But the play calling, or who the coach chooses to play, has to be above board or gambling will not work.

Make no mistake that the NFL wants/needs the gamblers and this allegation is a problem.

Fair enough. Seems likely we'll be back in the market for a DC in a year or two, but that doesn't bother me. It's the nature of the beast at this point. I do like his LB background, we need the help there bad. Looking forward to see how the staff rounds out.

A lot of truth to this because in Durham NC I can tell you coach K runs things in several counties around here. When his grandson and star player got arrested for dui it went away quick and the media had very little to say about it, also it went away and media types say nothing about it like it never happened.
