He'd do well at VT recruiting wise. He brings Florida, Some Texas connections and that Virginia area puts out good athletes. It would not be good for us.

Unless we use it as a chance to take away Bud Foster :fap:

Randy is the reason why Strong was so successful recruiting.

For many SFL kids it came down to two black D1 coaches. Once was a dikhead disciplinarian who felt kids should bow down and worship his school and the other was a cool ****. Strong was getting plenty because Randy was an ***** and when Randy got fired he got the rest.

I only speak for myself but it's not hate for me.
I thought he was good while at Louisville BUT what I have seen at Texas are red flags.
Maybe it's the "fit" thing but are you willing to take the risk and find out??

I can't tell you what a horrible hire it would be. He is as conservative a coach as there is out there.

Also, no Strong supporter has ever answered why his 2012 and 2013 class at UL didn't have that type of NFL talent. There Jr And Sr class is pretty mediocre, on offense it is pretty terrible.

This guy is basically living off a win vs Muschamp and Teddy B and that is it.

I can't think of a worse coach to have in SFla. Bland, conservative, boring offense. If you support Strong you either 1. hate Miami football 2. don't understand how Miami's legacy got started.

Couldn't agree more. He would be a terrible hire. He just lost to WV and Iowa St! Seriously? Texas might be down, but they should never be that down.

Pretty much the chicken s-t perspective of this program the last decade +.

What happened to getting the best hire and doing what it takes? Now it's a race to see who gets the canned coach first....the five time national champion or the big bad turkeys.

Answer me this. If Texas went down the street 2 years ago and hired one Larry "El Clapo" Coker instead of Chas Weak, would they have any worse of a result today? No seriously, Ol Clappy would not only have been able to reproduce this fraud's on-field results but he'd also have been able to recruit the 55th ranked 2016 class as well. So how can one even justify hiring Strong over bringing Coker "home"?

This is beyond laughable if true. If we really want to burn down this program for good then go ahead and just hire Cristobal. At least you'll save some money that maybe we can throw at the basketball program or something.
