Charlie Strong =s Will Muschamp.
I never understand "he is not fit for Texas" or any other place for that matter.
If you are an elite coach, you fit everywhere PERIOD. I want an elite coach like Harbaugh, Saban or even Patterson. If none is available then I want someone I can trust who has done it before HERE and has the burning to desire to do it again. Even if he couldn't repeat the exact same success he had before. Give me Butch Davis and I will be happy.

Urban went from Bowling Green, to Utah, to Florida to Ohio State.
If you're a good coach you'll win anywhere.

I don't agree with this statement (look at Saban at Mich St, for example), but at Texas a good coach should win.

Where did this myth start about Saban failing at Michigan State? He took that program from the toilet and turned them into a strong operation. That was not a big time program at all, and all they ever got was the scraps from Michigan, Ohio State, ND, etc.

Who said he failed? He had one good season at MSU and got a job at LSU as a result.
Dantonio has done a lot better at MSU than Saban. (Dantonio > Saban, just like Fedora > Butch, right, Franchise?)
I really don't think Strong is the answer here. I hope Miami is looking in another direction. Strong has failed miserably at Texas so far and really needs to take a step back before getting another crack at a school like Miami.

Michigan State is a B or C level Power 5 program. It's like Pitt, or Oregon State, or Miss State, or NC State, etc etc etc. He built the program there and then moved on.
Not only was MSU 5-6 on the field pre-Saban, but they had a massive scandal that wiped away all the wins of that season. It was an absolute DUMPSTER, and it's a place that will never, ever win a National Championship bc it will never beat OSU and Michigan and ND for the best players.
Compared to Texas which is the number one resources team in America, one of the strongest brands in America, which won 17 games in the 2 season prior to Strong being hired, with several top 10 classes recruited for him awaiting on the team. He then proceeded to complete **** the bed unlike any coach I have ever seen, including Al Golden.
Strong is not a great recruiter. He knows how to evaluate defensive guys but his offensive players was not that good at louisville.
