People can bash Leach all they want, but ****.

and for the record I am not for hiring Leach. I would rather promote Manny and hire one of these young Innovative OC’s to bring in and run an offense similar to Leach’s....

He won’t have to really have to recruit. That’s what assistants are for and him winning and scoring a **** load of points ever game will recruit itself....

The head coach still needs to recruit. If you think the HC just sends his cronies out to recruit and never meets the kids. You have another thing coming. As stated before I think Leach is a very innovative offensive mind and in the top 5 for current coaches who have done more with less.

The issue is that inner city areas are HEAVILY against trump. When word gets around that Miamis HC is friends with trump it will ruin recruiting in these areas. Especially because you know the rumors are going to grow and grow up to the point where people are saying Leach is best friends with trump and personally trying to bring back the slave trade to America.

Umm...No it is not. If you think Leach is going to walk around the inner cities of Miami recruiting kids because he scores a lot of points. You are delusional. In fact go walk around Carol City with a MAGA hat on and see what happens.
Brother... I'm grabbing my MAGA hat and going with the wife to the Cheese Cake Factory in Carol City... should be a blast.

Of course, does Miami's front 5 give the same level of protection as WSU's QB is getting? Their QB Apollo Gauntlet is able to make a sandwich back there.

There is a good reason for that, the pace is fast the D gets tired, once that happens the game is over. Of course Bama would over run them with talent, not saying it will work all the time. But it sure and **** beats that slow **** we have now, wasted Florida speed. Also, everyone always complains about his D's, I believe you can only do so much with 2 stars on D. No speed, size or talent on D cant be made up like it can be on an offense like the Pirates. You swapped Miami's talent with W States and they would be in the playoffs. I'm not sold on Kosi but he would be a great fit in that offense. Not my first choice but they wouldn't have lost a game with our schedule. JMO.

Be sure to stop and talk to any football players you see in the area. Tell them you are great friends with Richt and if those kids support Trump they MUST join the Miami football team. I am sure the recruits will just be flooding in after that!

The best recruiting tool no matter the coach is the schools W/L record and what perceived talent development a kid (inner city or otherwise) sees. Most of these kids want to play on Sundays.

If Leach came here at the beginning of the year and had this team. I see us winning the Coastal and keeping it close with Clemson in the ACCCG.

I think the Trump tie in might effect one or two types of players, but I don't think it would be the ball and chain folks think it would be. I'm pretty sure politics don't come up much in conversations with kids, parents, and recruiting.
It's not like Washington is a Red type of state or location.... It definitely is more Blue there than here.

Correct. Question has been asked before about Leach by other programs. It is a proven fact that most recruits don't care about politics. They care about winning and getting showcased to the NFL. A coach can dress like Robert E. Lee on the sidelines and it doesn't matter as long as the coach wins football games and gets them in the NFL.

OGH dismisses the years of evidence (Leach has lots of black players) and thinks that logic doesn't apply to S. FL recruits specifically. They would, in his opinion, be far more concerned about the hat the HC is wearing over the possibility of playing for a school that is an NFL pipeline and making millions of dollars. It's a nonsensical argument and demonstrably false, but I can understand why someone wouldn't think Leach would be a great fit. Just unfortunate that OGH has chosen to die on this particular hill as there are much better arguments against Leach than the silly one he keeps using.

South Florida is way bluer than Eastern Washington. And the University of Miami is way more of a respected academic institution than Washington State.

I like the pirate. I think he has done a lot with the talent he has. The only coaches that have done significantly better than him with a bunch of walkons and 2/3 stars is Dantonio and Paul Chryst.

That said, does anyone really think Leach is going to be able to walk into Carol City or other parts of Miami and recruit these kids after every recruit in the nation knows about his affiliation with Trump. It is unfortanate, but it is the truth.

Before anyone says "well he recruited 3 inner city california kids last year". It is a lot easier to recruit some low level 3 stars by saying "hey do you wan't to play on TV every Sat at Wazzou or get 1 televised Thursday games per year and a handful of games stream on ESPN+ at some MWC school like San Diego St". That is who he went up against for recruits. MWC schools. Here he will be going head to head with all of the powerhouses for talent.

I still don't buy this. Kids want to win that is the bottom line. The racist talk about Bama and Georgia here is off the charts and they're still getting any player they want from south Florida because they win. The pirate would put up 50++ points a game here, these kids aren't stupid, many would stay home and have fun. Blaming Trump for everything is getting old, I think the kids are smart enough to see that. When Leach says to that parent I'm going to make your kid one of the best receivers in the country they will listen because he does it with 2 star talent.
