Trent was really fast off the edge, but Joyner I think is a better athlete, and that's no knock on Trent's athleticism.

Trent was a horrible athlete.

Tested in the 6th percentile.

I would hope Patrick Joyner is more athletic.

Sounds like a perfect move and marriage of what Joyner brings to the table. Even as the 6th DE he’s going to get burn this season - no much as the 6th LB. we need to keep the rotation fresh and ready to go in the 4th quarter when it’s their time to shine and rip any hope out of the opponent. I love his speed/rush combo and wouldn’t be surprised if he was playing higher in the rotation come the latter part of the schedule. With all this speed on the field plus what we have now back in the secondary, Manny is salivating at what he’ll be able to throw at offenses this year.
