Position switching didn’t help him.

Probably didn’t help his feelings with a converted LB with one week of practice at the position played 40 more snaps than him.

Hold on a minute, bub! You're talking about a team captain who voluntarily took a redshirt last season so he could come back this year and provide much needed maturity and leadership at LB.

Without him constantly out of position and missing tackles all year, who knows how this season turns out!

G5 program is probably his best choice. Another high school defensive lineman our staff thought could convert to standup linebacker. Then they moved him back to end but he’s not good there either. I think we need to leave some of these tweener defensive end types alone and recruit linebackers who play linebacker in high school.

another kid who never got extended burn in games while the players above him were stomping on their dycks all season long; another unknown quantity on gameday
What defensive end should he have gotten playing time over?

We should keep taking ones with elite traits. Too many examples of these guys being successful across the sport.
