FootballScoop is proud to announce that Pat Ivey (Missouri) as the 2013 FootballScoop Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year presented by ProGrass.
Ivey has been in charge of Missouri football’s strength program since 2005, a time that not so coincidentally happens to coincide with the rise of Missouri football. Look at it this way, it isn’t an accident Gary Pinkel was 22-25 in the four seasons before Ivey took over, and 80-38 with seven seasons of eight wins or more and three conference championship appearances in the nine seasons since.

Those who know him are effusive in their praise of Ivey’s loyalty and humility – he’s always looking for ways to empower those who work under him – and his never-ending quest for improvement, both of himself and the players he coaches.
Ivey recently completed his Ph.D. while running Missouri’s strength program.
“There’s no question I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Pat,” said former Ivey protege, 2011 FootballScoop Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year and Stanford strength coach Shannon Turley. “He’s someone I still seek counsel from when faced with difficult decisions.”
In fact, each of the last two FootballScoop Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year winners – Turley and Baylor’s Kaz Kazadi – previously worked under Ivey.
