lol. This guy actually equated beating a woman to being a part of a boycott because of racial issues.
He's a huge upgrade. The whole mizzou boycott is a big question mark though. Either way, hopefully he learned from it.
Shouldn't be a issue. If he can do his job, whatever social issues he stands for is irrelevant
Until he makes it public and coordinates a player protest which is what he did at Mizzou. That's very troubling. You want to tell me Odom who took over thought the Memphis guy was better? Both Odom and Ivey were former Mizzou grads and Ivey has been there day 1 when they started building and doing well. He also was voted top S&C guy in 14 plus multiple outlets calling him top 5 in the country. He gets fired all of a sudden? Smoke = fire.
Just hope he learned to keep his social **** to himself.
We are worried about winning and u care about some bull**** boycott crap what went on at Mizzou? Do the board a favor and eject yourself. We care winning football games and if this man can help us WIN games.. thats all we should care about. Good god some of you people need to wake up. Yeah sure lets turn away a top5 SC..
Mother of god

Some of you guys are so dense. The problem isn't a "protest" it's that he took actions that undermined the head coach. That's why he got fired.
Yes, thanks.
Secondly read the whole facts surrounding this sham of a cause he organized the players to boycott. That's an issue whether you want to think it is or not.
Lastly, he was ****ing shown the door because of it. Top 5 S&C alum gets let go? Mmmkay

I'd love to see these SC award shows where they hand out the SC trophy every year. Bunch of juiced up roid heads in ill-fitting suits with beet red faces sitting around waiting for the big award while dudes wearing Zubaz and TMicheal sweatshirts roam around the room.

The Coach supported his players and the boycott. So not sure, how he was undermined.
Would soften the blow from the miserable Diaz hire. Honestly, if LSU hadn't ruined the Aranda vibe, that would be one of the best staffs in America, easily.
Diaz just killed it for me though. SMFH.
Go back to your SonnyLong screen name. You were less annoying

Nah I was GoldenShowers....mght have to switch back, b/c Richt will not last here if Diaz is his DC.

I have no issue with Ivey's involvment in the Missouri threatened boycott. These types of incidents don't suddenly happen. There obviously have been racial tensions brewing for a long time. HC Gary Pinkel supported his players. Maybe Barry Odom didn't. Oklahoma HC Bob Stoops publicly supported his players when racial tensions blew up in Norman.
Believe it or not, there are more important issues than a football team winning a football game.
