looks like mizzou deleted their page on him so I can't find his bio

bio as per wayback machine snapshot:

In February 2007 Pat Ivey was named as the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance for the University of Missouri after serving the previous three years as the Director of Strength and Conditioning. In this new role he is responsible for the entire player development program for football, overseeing the development of Missouri's remaining varsity sports, as well as sports nutrition.

Upon his arrival at The University of Missouri, Ivey went right to work to further establish and sustain an already successful program. With the goals of helping each individual athlete achieve their very best and ultimately assisting every team to win conference championships in mind, Ivey shares the vision of MU Athletic Director Mike Alden of helping The University of Missouri attain the United States Sports Academy Director's Cup. The Director's Cup is an annual award given to a school based on the achievements of the entire athletic department.

Prior to his arrival at Missouri, Ivey was the Director of Strength and Conditioning at The University of Tulsa for two years (2002-2004) where he directed the efforts of all 18 sports programs.

Ivey spent time as an Assistant Director, Graduate Assistant, and defensive end at the University of Missouri over the course of nine years. As the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning from 2001-2002 Ivey assisted with every aspect of Tiger football player development.

Ivey lettered as a defensive end at Missouri from 1993-95. In 1995, he was the strongest athlete in the history of Missouri. Ivey was signed by the San Diego Chargers and spent two seasons on their roster. Ivey then worked as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Missouri while splitting time with both the Denver Broncos and the Green Bay Packers. While serving as a graduate assistant, Ivey worked with several sports including football, track and field, wrestling, and baseball.

Ivey received his undergraduate degree in 1996 in Hotel and Restaurant Management with an emphasis in nutrition and he completed his master's in health education in 2000. Ivey holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association as well as United States Weightlifting. Ivey is married to the former Starla Green from Hannibal, Missouri and they have two daughters, Paisli and Serena.

I don't know too much about SC. Is he in the Cochran/Moffitt echelon of coaching? Mizzou has had alot of great athletes the last 7 or 8 years. Lots of guys who are playing well in the league. Is Ivey a savage? When he meets Blake, will he pick him up and tickle him? Can he make Jelani stop eating snackpacks?

So Cochran is from Moffitt tree while these guys are from the Ivey tree

Previous winners of the Strentgh & Conditioning Coach of the Year award are...Shannon Turley (Stanford, 2011) and Kaz Kazadi (Baylor, 2012).

So in 2011 and 2012, 2 of his disciples were COY and in 2013 he won? That's ******* amazing. Holy crap. What a hire if this comes true

He had a player die under his watch, which is a major positive for a SC guy. Shows that he pushes guys past the point.

Downside is he might be a rabble rouser. Why else would Mizzou dump such a purportedly accomplished guy?

this would be the best hire we have made so far. a game changer for the program.

Apparently, he was part of the insurrection of Mizzou this year. If Richt trusts him, I'm in. I don't care if he teaches them to be Leninistic Hindus as long as they're fast and skrong

I believe he supported the boycott of Mizzou over the racial issues and, from what I've read from Mizzou posters, that may have doomed him at Mizzou. Some there felt like he was a bigger loss than Kuligowski which should be highly encouraging if we get him.

Yeah, I don't care about whatever political point he felt needed to be made. The thing that rubs me the wrong way is that he did something that could have undermined the head man, and then went on the radio to tell everyone about it. That shows poor judgment and that you may think you're more important than you really are. I'm sure Richt will do his due dilligence but I'm concerned.

Luckily it appears he is a top notch S&C coach.

Sounds like a liberal sjw/feminist trouble maker.

Expect more fruity oline pics, demand for "safe spaces" all over campus, and if he is a good as they say, man-child savages on the field.

Yes sir, I am not a fan of the stunts he pulled getting involved with the whole Mizzou hunger strike thing but purely as an S&C coach he is a beast with a PHD.

If he comes.. watch out, we will move mountains... possibly the best hire, him and coach Kool is up there.

Maybe a little biased.. focuses on functional strength and huge on core building which Miami has lacked.

It's all fun and games til he's walking around campus with a black lives matter sign cuz Richt starts Allison over a black QB.

I'd love to see these SC award shows where they hand out the SC trophy every year. Bunch of juiced up roid heads in ill-fitting suits with beet red faces sitting around waiting for the big award while dudes wearing Zubaz and TMicheal sweatshirts roam around the room.

Trouble maker who swallowed too much of his own bathwater along with too much Dianobol. Seems like he got too big for his Zubaz, so they had to cut him loose.
