Other Coaching Moves

I mean...

You could be right 😂

The part U’re forgetting is that his first hire was Lashlee, before those other hires. Typically & normally a coordinator would want a say or input as to who his support staff is. So by you naming the hire date of Justice & Likens is inconsequential b/c Lashlee, our OC, was hired first. Just like Enos was hired first, prior to adding the support staff.

T-Rob, the portal, and possibly Simpson will distract most fans just enough to forget Baker, Patke & the scheme will still be here. Hoping that’s not the case, but again, typically the guy running the O or D wants input on who’s w him.
When Richt got hired, his first hire on defense was Coach Kul. Not Diaz. Why? Because he thought Kul was a no doubter. A big time DL coach with an aggressive approach that developed DL that you couldn't leave on the open market. What is T-Rob? A no doubt hire that any DC would be crazy to say no to. A developer and recruiter that you couldn't leave on the open market too long.

So if Diaz is actually waiting on someone is he really gonna let a coach who addresses maybe our biggest recruiting and developmental issue twist in the wind when he doesn't have a definitive timeline on a DC? You grab T-Rob as soon as you can and you pair him with a DC who mirrors his approach when it comes to pass defense. That is not Blake Baker.

Maybe Baker retains his position but guys like Cribby who has the goods have told us multiple times that Diaz is waiting on decisions to be made and at worse Baker would be stripped of play calling duties if not outright replaced by a potential big hire.

And any hire that Diaz is targeting has probably already given the OK to Robinson. Not that it is a hard decision.

That’s y I said “typically.” Lol. Although Diaz was hired shortly thereafter & alleged friction was on staff. Again “alleged” friction per some who posted on here. That’s y “typically” a DC would want input. “Typically”, for the record. Lol

you think saban cares? **** get anyone he wants from the NFL to join his staff. he made enos into an attractive candidate and got Mario a big job in Oregon.
Uh he absolutely cares about people leaving his staff as head coaches and poaching on the way out. There was friction between him and Kirby for that very reason.

Miami has the money. There’s a long list of guys we could bring in that Ed Reed knows firsthand. IMO he should have equal say to Diaz as Chief of Staff. I know Ed hates Rex Ryan and guys like Gregg Williams are washed up. Neither of these guys would ever allow almost 800 yards against them in a game. They know how to make adjustments. There’s some proven ones out there that won’t have jobs.
