Forgot to post when it was first announced, but his is a good pickup for UTSA as a replacement for Tyron Nix.

He came up at Duke on Carl Franks staff, then had brief stints at Western Carolina, Elon & them was at Sam Houston St for 3 years under KC Keeler (for those that don’t know KC Keeler built up that Delaware program & had them winning D-2 titles [Joe Flacco] & then went to Sam Houston ST & has had them winning as well, very good FCS coach), then he was at Wake Forest for 3 years.

Billy Glasscock (yes that is his real name) gets hired by Texas to be their Director of Player Personnel, he’s another add in a strong recruiting depart for Coach Sark.

Nick Saban continues to add to his coaching ****nal this offseason and this week, has landed an up-and-comer to aid in defensive game-planning. Alabama has hired Mark Orphey, a 31-year-old assistant from Utah State who will work as an analyst next season, per AL.com's Matt Zenitz. Orphey is the second hire is less than a week for the Crimson Tide, who also picked up Ron Cooper, a former head coach, in a football support staff position.

Orphey has spent the past two seasons as Utah State's defensive backs coach and perviously worked at worked at Montana State and South Carolina. He played college football at Texas Southern and brings a wealth of knowledge to Alabama's group of analysts.

Orphey is the latest staff addition for Saban, who has landed five assistant coaches this cycle and a special assistant to the head coach after losing lots of manpower following an unbeaten run to a national championship last season. Two of the biggest acquisitions were Bill O'Brien and Doug Marrone, two recently-fired NFL head coaches who will lead the Crimson Tide's efforts on offense. O'Brien will call plays next season while Marrone inherits an elite-level offensive line.
