Alabama is going to lose a lot of upperclassmen, but then they just replace them with five-star studs. Lose Mac the Knife...starting Bryce Young. Lose Devonta Smith, Jacorey Brooks, Thaiu Jones-Bell, Jojo Earle, Christian Leary and Agiye Hall will be eating up snaps with Metchie and Billingsley getting expanded roles. Lose three seniors on the OL, get Latham, the Brockermeyer brothers, etc coming in. Nice place to be if you can get there.
Defense, if some of these juniors return...will get better...this was a poor year for them defensively.
With that said, Devonta Smith should win the Heisman. This is all.

Agree. The sport has sacrificed everything to feed the elite schools and it’s already choked off half the country because of it. The sport is so predictable that the outcomes are almost irrelevant.

Lesson in all this- but for one corching move by Dan Mullet, UF would have beaten this Bama team. Saban already explained it - offense wins championships. ND has a good defense, but in CFB today, a defender can't breathe on a WR without drawing a flag. They don't have the offense to keep up. If Miami has better player development and evals there is no reason we can't be competitive with the best. If Lingard hadnt transferred, we'd have had a 5 star QB (Martell), 5 star RB (Lingard), 5 star WR (Pope) and the #1 TE in the country on the roster, yet 3 out of 4 of those players would have contributed jack **** to the program.
If Miami had a minimally competent WR corps, Miami beats OK St by 10 with our backup QB even after giving up 21, and goes into the offseason with only 2 losses. Lashlee, Justice, and Likens need to step up more. Our WR group is butt cheeks, the OL being ranked #100 in sacks allowed is butt cheeks, and Lashlee not benching WRs who can't catch is butt cheeks.
