OT - Narcos Mexico 2

took a rewatch to enjoy...very far fetched. Too far in to turn back. Like SOA...I just couldn’t get into it. Not believing that 10 bikers can handle the AB, IRA, Cali Mexican gangs, and Cali black gangs...

I refuse to watch the most recent season of Peaky Blinders or the last 2 seasons of Sons of Anarchy. Nip Tuck and Dexter were the same for me too.

The shows jumped the shark way too hard constantly. I would believe the plot of the last two seasons of Sons likely includes Jax and company invading Iraq as the tip of the spear to defeat ISIS at the explicit request of the president and then eventually fighting Megatron and the Decepticons. Somehow the cast of Fast & Furious also get roped in and ride a nuclear bomb into outer space saving the planet. That’s how insane they jumped the shark.

The draw to Narcos is the true stories are so completely insane and over the top that anything the show does would never come close to rivalling what actually happened and continues to happen today.

Dexter was great, you should finish it. As for Better Call Saul, I didn't like the first few seasons much but I loved Breaking Bad. That's a very big act to follow, so maybe my expectations are too high; I'm watching the 1st episode of season 4 now.

whats better call saul about?.
It's a spin off of Breaking Bad. Basically, the story of the lawyer from Breaking Bad. He's basically a disaster and you get to watch, from beginning to end, how he came to be the type of character you see in Breaking Bad. The background of it was as interesting to me as the action once they start blending stories.

I actually miss his brother 😟

Same, I like Seasons 1 and 2 a lot, but they really missed the mark with casting a Brazilian actor who spoke no Spanish prior to playing Escobar. Also, Pacho, Chepe and the two brothers are probably one of the more intriguing groups in the series, but back to Pablo. There's a series, Patron del Mal, that's basically a soap opera filmed in Colombia about Pablo Escobar's life. The main character has the same look and annoying ranting voice that the real Pablo had, it's almost comedic at times. There's even some Colombian actors on that show that show up on Narcos (The old Lady from the the Salazar family, the guy who played Navegante, one of the Castano brothers (the guys who were fighting in the jungle from FARC)) The production value and dramatic plot twists of Narcos are pretty amazing, but I gotta say that the casting on the Narcos Mexico seasons was much better in terms of getting accents and backgrounds right. I believe this one is all a build up to Season 3, a lot is about to go down between the Sinoloan Cartel and the Arellano Felix fam.

The average gringo doesn't know anything about Spanish accents. It sounds the same to most.

Anyone watch altered carbon season 2? I find it meh so far after watching a few episodes. As a side note, boardwalk empire on HBO is a great show that I feel not many people have seen. Bootleggers..

It's good but no
So far I agree, BCS has taken some time to build into something good. ****, I watched the 1st season of breaking bad and didn't like it, then ended up being told I had to watch it after season 4. Then I loved it. The writers just take their time with the back story, which ends up paying dividends in the end. Saul is starting to build like that. Gus Fring has a big role in Saul too, which is cool. It shows some cool backstory like the building of the laundromat lab and other things that help tie into the BB story.

For Narcos Mexico, like others have said, it's always felt like it was leading up to season 3. 1 & 2 were okay for me, but 3 will be epic. The beginning to the Mexico story was always going to be hard to outdo the Escobar/Cali stories. The drama will be intense with the upcoming season though.

How much have you watched? It's the rare show that actually keeps getting better.

Breaking Bad is an all time top show. Highly recommend. My wife and I started watching it around '13 and finished the whole series in about a week.

Yeah. BB is a Top 5 all time show. I've actually had a lot of success telling ppl to watch it backwards (kinda -- I tell em to start w season 4) . Its just as good.

LOL, at least we'll be armed, meantime cats in Noo Yawk catchin' life without the possibility of parole for carrying a Super Soaker...LMFAO!!!

Just because we aren't posting them on IG doesn't mean they don't have them. We actaully use them, unlike the 305 with your 45 murders last year. They think they are ballin with their 600$ trash af Draco lmao.

The writing for Breaking Bad is soooooo good, and Bryan Cranston kills the role of WW. The entire cast was great, for that matter. I wouldnt say S1 is a slow burn, but if you aren't drawn in after a few episodes just give it time.

BCS definitely holds it's own though. I can't say it's better than BB, but it's not far behind at all. It's all good, man.

Season 3 will definitely focus on the beefs between all of the Cartels. I sort of have an idea on what goes down due to the El Chapo series on Netflix.

I recently watched breaking bad but stopped somewhere around the middle of season 4, it was good I guess, but didn't feel like I really missed anything.

All of the season are great. Just hate that I bing watch the **** in a couple of days and half to wait a year or more for the next season.

Oh yeah, Narcos is one of the best shows on TV right now. I agree with most here I liked the Columbian's seasons better. But Mexico is good! I have enjoyed both seasons.

Did anyone else find themselves pulling for Escobar in Season's 1 and 2?

Yes lol it was insane to be rooting for him
