OT: Mike Tomlin and USC

Tomlin doesn't get enough credit. He has a 148-81 record (65% winning percentage) in the NFL. The only guys with a winning % that high with that many games are George Allen, George Halas, Don Shula, Paul Brown and Bill Belichick.
I give him credit. You also have to credit the rock solid organization around him. They evaluate well. They hire well. Their culture is authentic, consistent, and embraced. He's part of that, but some of it existed prior to his leadership. Steelers fans should be grateful for a well-run organization. It's difficult to put that together.

Just like we get to see with BB now, let’s see how he does without a HOF QB.

A lot of organizations would have fired him at different points in his career

Watching their organization and then their biggest rival the Browns for years was always fascinating

The way it took him 3 times to get up afterwards, priceless. It is as though he started to say something else but he says F it I'm done.
He was conflicted on whether or not to end the interview with a....

Before deciding against it.

I have a difficult time believing that Tomlin would have any interest in dealing with recruiting nonsense.

"Are you going to commit right now or not? What's that? You want to wait until national signing day and play with hats on a table? OK, here's a hat. Try it on. Now take it off and get the f#ck out of my face. "

Lmao...

Bama boosters would commit ritualistic suicide before they hire a Black head coach.

They’re as old school “good ol boys” as it gets.
Tomlin could win the next two Super Bowls, Dabo could have ANOTHER **** season next year and that school and that fanbase/state would still prefer Dabo by at least a 2:1 margin if they were actually able to choose between the two in a couple of years.

Haha. Just saw this and posted it in the other thread about former players at other programs floating nonsense dream candidates. Mannnn, really seems like Mikey T hates college football in general! Can't remember too many times I've seen him legitimately ****ed like this.

That was actually awesome.

My only rebuttal is that he works for the Steelers and **** them.

You clearly haven't heard the Aaron Rodgers rumors. 😀
I think there is something to the rumor but the Steelers first need to convince Ben to retire. But with the proper position with the organization, like Cowher, Bettis, Hines, Trop, Kiesel, one day Cam Heyward, Franco, Mel Blount, the Steelers know how to encourage a guy to do the right thing by making it in everyone's best interest. I hope they can convince Ben because they have the defense and running back and receivers to make it happen with Rodgers.

Jerome Bettis was on Cowherd's show. He was of the option Tomlin was far to 'matter of fact' for most 17-18 year olds to handle. Growm men (most) can appreciate that if authentic, but most kids right out of high school? Nah...

My thought was that the Corleones on the USC Board of Trustees were going to offer Urban the job once JAX let him go.

Poor Mario Cristobal: so close to USC, so far from God.
