Only takes about 10-15 minutes from the time you walk into the shop to walking out with a handgun in Indiana. I’m a gun owner but also think some of our laws are ridiculously lax, I shouldn’t have a more stringent background check to become an NFL agent than I do to buy a gun
But still requires a federal background check, correct?

Regardless of how lax the laws are, it's the lack of prosecution that makes them ineffective. Prosecutors would rather close a case that can be done quickly than prosecute one that takes time. We need to look at why gun cases get overlooked.

Lol too funny, KevinCane Face, please tell me the statistics of people locked up in jail for smoking NOT distributing pot? I believe the answer is minuscule. This country has allowed the left to dictate lawlessness, anarchy, violence, and make the police out as the enemy. This is not the country I grew up in and is changing rapidly. I'm Joe Biden and I approve this message!

Doesn't sound like winning.

The I in NICS stands for 'instant'... 15min to exercise your 2A is a testament to technology, not lack of thoroughness.

Who voted for those people that made those ridiculous gun laws. I’m not talking about the 8 year old carrying a gun because he has **** for parents
Idea of a 8 year old carrying is a bit scary but then I realize that my dad, RIP, bought me my first weapon, single shot .22, when I was 8 and my first what is now called an assault rifle at 9. If my dad was alive today he would probably have a ma duce someplace handy.

Different time and place but still, if a 8 year old needs to carry, why should he or her be left defenseless? As to your first point about voting, everyone should remember the FDR once said, "in politics there are no coincidences, if it happens somebody planned it". The why it was planned is probably the most important question.

I will preface this picture and quote with a quick personal point. I have voted for both Democrats and Republicans. I am socially liberal and fiscally conservative. However, I really enjoy history and Regan is my favorite modern day president. It’s a very timely and interesting quote. FWIW He was a elected to public office as a Democrat early in his political career, before he changed parties.

I'm a Reagan fan myself and saw this on facebook a couple weeks back. Looked it up because I was surprised to see that he would have said something like this and sure enough there is absolutely no record of this quote. It's almost surely fake. They kind of tipped their hand too by spelling his name wrong...

Hi 5ringsshowboutu that is the point and you just made it. I know your message about this doesn't sound like winning was a jab at the white house. Then again, violence, rioting, anarchy,, lawlessness, and defunding the police are the trademark activities of the left. Therefore you are right, IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE WINNING AND THAT IS WHAT THE LEFT IS PROMOTING. Thank you for making that point!

This thread needs to be “locked up”!

But depending on the state, smoking pot may be against the law. I highly doubt you’ll get thrown in jail... or even arrested unless yard doing something else stupid.

Corporations making millions may be doing illegal things and those peeps should get locked up. But corporations making millions lawfully... is there a problem with that? Usually that is good for all... including the middle class workers that depend on a paycheck to make a living

I was arrested in Arizona in 2001 for smoking pot. I was not selling it or distributing it. I was on a road trip with some friends and the night clerk at the hotel I was staying in called the cops because he smelled the joint we had smoked. The cops came and arrested all of us. Here's the really fun part! At the time Maricopa county was trying to be all "law and order" and cracking down on drug crime. They had made any possession, no matter how small, a felony. So I was booked and charged with TWO FELONIES because we smoked a joint an my buddy had a pipe in his bag. Paraphanilia, no matter how small, was also a felony. Now because I had no prior convictions, I was offered a pre-trial diversion program. In exchange for taking drug counseling courses and passing drug tests (that I had to pay out of my own pocket) and paying a rather large fine, I was able to avoid trial and have my record expunged. Thankfully, I was not some broke kid who didn't have the $2000+ to pay the fine and take the courses. Otherwise I would have had to go to trial for two felony counts.

Maybe in some places, cops don't arrest you for marijuana but I can assure you that is not the case everywhere. Drug offenders are big profit for police departments and the prison system. They're often much easier and safer to arrest than violent criminals.

so all the people locked up for smoking pot while corporations are making millions is cool right?
Not su

Ridiculous. I wonder though if judges in Maricopa county were letting that stupidity even make it to trial? Sounds more like municipal fundraising honestly.

Yeah I hear you and wouldn’t have posted that back in 2001. That definitely sucks... but would or wouldn’t you agree that in 2020 that it probably wouldn’t go down like that now (or at least not for‘just’ smoking pot in 90% of the US)?

glad u had da cash to get out. I did some stupid stuff in my early 20s and had to pay up to help my situation

Gotcha. It just seems like there was a lot of porsting conflation with Broward, Miami, etc. so I wasn’t sure if you were referring to the casino or not. I’ve never been in that casino, so I can’t say. Looks like a super classy clientele though
I've got nothing bad to say about either, and I now live in Palm Beach County, which acts like Miami is Camden. The casino sucks....when I saw electronic craps I was done.

Wow.... A seer with an accurate premonition, happening right before our eyes.

Nice to see everyone social distancing. FWIW cops & security are no longer getting involved in anything. They’ll all watch everyone kill each other and avoid getting sued. Welcome to the new America. “Let then kill each other” sucks but it’s where we are now.
This all could have been avoided if the “good cops” went to their higher ups about the bad cops they knew were among them. They’ll bust my balls for window tint but they won’t report a racist piece of **** in their own department? Seems rather odd.

PS I’m a diehard republican & Trump supporter but I’m also a realist & what’s right is right. Killing unarmed people is a problem & it happens FAR to often. I’ve been in cars that got pulled over with my african american friends & watched how different they were treated.

It's definitely better now with a lot of places decriminalizing or legalizing marijuana but I'm sure there's a bunch of places (mostly smaller rural areas) where they want to lock you up for smoking the devil's lettuce.

The thing about my situation was that it really opened my eyes. The number of people who had to go to court against felony charges because they couldn't afford to buy their way out must have been pretty significant at the time. How many people had their lives ruined because they got caught smoking pot and were now a convicted felon?

Lol, that wasn't a fight, there was no blood, no one got knocked out, ****, no one even lost their weave. That was just the youth roll playing out their emotions verses talking about about them over a Starbucks latte.
