All I know is growing up Detroit cops ain’t come for **** anyway. You had to defend yourself. Neighbor got murdered across the street nobody showed for 9 hours. First time a officer showed up. Dudes body in the street......Ain’t nothing new.

For many people in hoods across America 0 law enforcement presence is already rampant. How y’all think so much **** pops off?

If they were truly on every corner or really active like that it would be a lot less **** in the streets.

So yelling “OMG NO POLICE” is just another day for many many people in the USA.

That’s why the 8 year olds in the city got guns. ****ed up part is they can’t have them legally for just trying to protect themselves out here and if they got pulled over while walking or random search and frisk now they got a charge....too easy

Who voted for those people that made those ridiculous gun laws. I’m not talking about the 8 year old carrying a gun because he has **** for parents

Trust. I agree with you. I’m just saying many people already used to that ****. It’s not uncommon at all to meet 8,9,10, and 11 year olds who have already killed 1-3 people.

The homicide closure rate in the city is atrocious. Better chance at getting off for murder than being locked up.

The laws suck. The city sucks, that’s why I was grateful to leave.

I agree with you believe. I been having a change of heart over the years. Been telling all my people that if cities keep re-electing the same people nothing is going to change.

Might as well take a chance on something different.

It just sucks because you do have guys who are good dudes in ****ed up environments. But you don’t feel safe without a firearm. You might not even be a thug. Just a normal guy. You go buy a gun purely to protect yourself.

Police do a random search on your way home from work. No criminal record but now you got one. Felony weapons charges. System is too easy to **** people up man.

But I don’t want to go off on that. Just was saying many people have had to fend without their help or assistance for many years now in certain areas.

For those people they are used to it. I remember one time being in Chicago where I swear we didn’t see a cop the whole week except in the nicest and more upscale areas....crazy

That's why the second amendment is so important. If you are a law abiding citizen you should have a right to protect yourself with a firearm. These cities you mention have some of the strictest gun control laws around yet have the most shootings, and like you said, people trying to protect themselves due to lack of law enforcement (and some of these cities are calling for more lack of it) and they become criminals for just trying to protect themselves.

It's insanity, yet the same officials with the same tired, f'd up policies keep getting re-elected and the problem gets blamed elsewhere and nothing ever gets fixed.

Re-elected by the electorate they hurt the most. Literally the definition of systemic racism. Insane ******* insane!
Idea 💡 Our city is know for being corrupt, bankrupt, overtaxed and racist. Let’s re-elect the same party/people to run it for ANOTHER SEVENTY YEARS. WTF!!!

Gotcha. It just seems like there was a lot of porsting conflation with Broward, Miami, etc. so I wasn’t sure if you were referring to the casino or not. I’ve never been in that casino, so I can’t say. Looks like a super classy clientele though
