Football is a black mans game. Look at the percentage of whites vs blacks in the nfl and college football. The fact people think hes being held out because hes black cracks me up.

Threads with posts in them like this are allowed to carry on but other threads are locked before hitting 4 pages huh mods? The usual suspects at it again. Lol CIS gonna CIS
Folks showing their true colors and others just reminding us who they are. Smh the thread ain’t even about Kaep anymore 😂
it’s really not that far off from the original topic. If you want to debate the original post the Dolphins don’t need a “stopgap” qb they’ve been vocal about tanking for the first time in 15 years instead of going 8-8 every year (which is the worst thing you can do in professional sports).

From the standpoint of the owner, wouldn’t it be really stupid to isolate a majority of your city and local fan base by signing a guy who openly supports Castro? I mean dude it’s not rocket science signing him to the Dolphins is not a good idea from a couple standpoints.

Possibly true, but would've been a better choice for the Phins than that washed up, not giving a **** Jay Cutler that they paid $10M to come and waste a year.
No arguments here. With Kaepernicks sharp decline in play I think his lack of commitment to getting better probably scares teams off. Add in the extra noise and it isn’t worth it. NFL has definitely proven they will take you in if you are talented enough.

The racial thing just becomes a cop out at some point to me. Like everyone in an uproar over black coaches being fired before they should have been. SF fired three white coaches in 3 seasons. No one said anything. I dunno. Race talks just always bring out the crazies so it’s pointless I suppose.

There’s definitely no good explanation for what you brought up though which is why it kinda sucks there can’t be any good discussions about this.

Taking a knee during the national anthem before the game is a distraction lol
No, it’s disrespectful to everyone who has fought for this country. I hope he never plays again.

A black friend once told me that I shouldn't tell him what he should or shouldn't be offended by because I don't understand what his life is like because I don't experience it. It definitely opened my eyes. The same applies here. Don't tell a Cuban what they should or shouldn't be offended by when it comes to Fidel Castro/Communism/etc. You didn't experience what our families did, you don't understand. Period.

I am truly baffled as to how people in 2019 don't grasp why Kaep is not on a roster and try and make these "he is better than this guy" arguments. At this point, his football abilities are not the sole determining factor. The NFL is a business. Period. Its owners have one goal: make money. The negative PR he would bring to a franchise at this point greatly outweighs the benefit his football talent would bring. So the argument that he should be on a team because "he is better than [insert name of qb on a roster here]" just doesn't hold water. That no name QB doesnt bring the same negative PR storm that Kaep does. If he did, he too wouldnt be on a roster. It's a simple cost benefit analysis balancing the negative PR with the positive contribution on the field, and every NFL owner has concluded it fails that analysis. If he was as good as Tom Brady he would have found his way onto another team. But he isn't a top tier QB, so at this point, he is never going to pass that cost benefit analysis to an owner even if they think he is a solid QB. I can get another similarly-good QB, or even one i think isnt quite as good, to be my backup and not bring that PR storm onto my franchise. Thats a no brainer.

Its mind boggling so many people can't grasp this. Now, you can make a much better personal argument that you think the sheer amount of negativity surrounding him is unjust. That at least is an argument that one can make hold water. Though it's one i personally disagree with as the disliking of Kaep goes well beyond just the kneeling issue. This is also a guy who wore pigs in police uniforms on his socks during warm ups, wore a castro shirt in a public appearance in miami, was **** close to being signed by the ravens before his girlfriend tweeted out a bunch of slavery BS about them, etc. Kaep is no innocent player in the storm of negativity that surrounds him.

But that wasn't my point... regardless of how we got here and whether it is fair or not, my point was towards those who STILL try and make the argument that he should be on a team because he is a better QB than some others in the league. Even if thats true, those others don't bring with them ****ed off fans canceling season tickets and people protesting and a whole sh-t show of controversy that Kaep now does. Whether that sh-t show of negativity is fair or not (or what one believes it is rooted in) is a different and valid discussion; but there is no arguing against the fact that is the reality if an owner decides to bring him in. And fair or not, it simply doesn't make sense as a business decision at this point. Its that simple. Now, if he were a generational talent I believe it would skew that cost benefit analysis in his favor and he would be on a team. But he's not; in fact, not even close. So its very easy to see why he is not on a team if you're able to set emotion aside and look at it objectively from the lens of a business decision.

well said and spot on

This is why we have Trump. Why he may get reelected and why populism is on the rise around the world. Brexit and Trump were no accident.

Absolutely! Many people fail to recognize that Trump’s policies has actually a lot in common with populist leftist politics of the 90s. For example it was the unions and leftists who called for economic nationalism by closing the border and being tough on immigration (remember Bernie supporting the minutemen). In fact a study of the effect of Marielitos on the construction workers wages in Miami was used for the longest time by leftists and supporters of unions for tougher borders. Another example could be Trump’s disdain for NATO. After the fall of the Soviet Union leftists saw nato as obsolete and as a tool for imperialism. There was actually a deal between the US and Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union to not expand eastward. Clinton of course reneged which gave rise to Putin as Russia realized America wasn’t going to change. The point I’m trying to make is the social justice so called left doesn’t even know the history of their movement and beliefs. They just regurgitate over and over like mindless automatons the chants they learned at meetings. I wish to **** they would read some history books and learn something

Castro killed anyone that had any likeability because he was a threat to his power. Camilo Cienfuegos comes to mind. He encouraged Che to go off and lead other revolutions.

Che was just another a--hole that wanted to be a member of the elite, but the elite didn't want him. So he tried to destroy him.
Aside from political views I don't think many people know about Che. He was born into a rich and educated Elitist family and became a physician. However during his travels through South America he saw a lot of the exploitation of the poor and his views totally changed after that.

Difference is, Eric Reid was a top 10 FS and was getting drug tested every other game by the league. Wonder why. 🤷‍♂️

Kaepernick (football wise) was ****ed when Jim left and got tired of the organization.

Fast forward to the Treyvon's, Kaepernick did a peaceful protest and of course, common sense-less people did not like it.

And to be quite honest, ppl only say he sucks for justification of "why he shouldn't be in the league". If that's the case, why was butt fumble Scamchez in uniform this year after sitting on the couch for about the same amount of time as Kaep???
