OT: Ivins Kicked out

If you're siding with MNW AD or this bozo on Twitter, you don't get it.

Y'all focusing on one thing Ivins said like females flocking to your homegirls aid.

If this dude on Twitter is a part of the coaching staff (titled or volunteer) that INVITED HIM and now is saying "get ya credentials up goofy" then you know the fix is in. I would like to assume Edwards is above petty feminine nonsense like this, but who knows.

Perhaps MNW is ****ed the big recruiting sites don't pump their kids up enough.

Was the Georgia 247 and Rivals guys kicked out? They probably had the correct credentials too stay.

Maybe this is a Miami thing. The fact of the matter. Every since Miami cleaned house in the 2008 class at MNW. Miami has signed 1 MNW kid. That was ranked in the top 50 in the state of Florida. 10 young men from MNW have been ranked in the top 50 in the state. Artie Burns is the only one to sign here.

Ivins was dumb for taking the bait. Said something really stupid but what he said. Seems too trump the racist pos that baited him.

Had this been a school in bama or Georgia. Had the whitey coaches said to a black reporter. "You're just an uppity black guy" Best believe this would be a big *** story. A 100 page thread would be ongoing on here. Had the black reporter said anything like Ivins said. It would get a small amount of attention, if any.

MNW hasn't been a feeder school for us in a long time. If they want their kids to have higher rankings. Perhaps they should get in the arms race in south Florida and take the better talent from other schools.

MNW just won states last year in the toughest division int he nation...what are you really talking about?. We signed their best player last year..and had we recruited anyone from there the year b4 (TUTU ATwell) we would of signed him to. They still are sending guys div 1 at a good clip..and they are still a feeder school when we want kids from there

Unrelated to the Ivins/West beef, I HATE to hear South Floridians saying goofy, oops, etc. That **** burns me up, we don't follow trends from other parts of the country, we set trends. Nunna these kids and especially people in our age ain't grow up saying that ****...

Yup he threw me for a loop with that. We set trends ..not ride waves.

"Where im from we dont say Opp' *Kodak Black*

We did get a kid from MNW the year before, we got Nigel Bethel XXV. He wasn't highly recruited, but we did get a guy. Like you said, I don't know what the **** ole dude is talking about. MNW needs to join the arms race? Really?

We should also point out that a minority community not allowing a white reporter to watch a football game isn’t racism.

It’s a bad equivalency to act like racism isn’t more than prejudice among races and not a system that oppresses black people to this day.
Blah blah blah

Racism is just what everyone knows it is, which is when someone dislikes or negatively judges someone on account of their race.

The whole societal blah blah system blah blah was invented by people who wanna have it both ways.

Sam Brooks Jr.
Yea, he was a part of this past years class. Gogeta was saying we would've gotten someone from MNW in the 2018 class if we would have gone after anyone. I was just stating that we actually did get someone from that class. Point is, we always will take kids from MNW and they will always produce kids. That school isn't gonna just fall apart and never have talent like the poster that Gogeta was quoting is alluding to.

Are you claiming Ivins has some role in mentoring the kids he covers? He has no such role. He’s a reporter. The guy making the racist comments and issuing subtle threats is the purported leader of children.

No you’re correct. Definitely feel like the coaches and the AD have the greater responsibility.

But Ivins does have an ethical and professional duty to evaluate all players by the same standards no matter how much he likes or dislikes the school. And even though he took the post down, even suggesting bias because of how he was mistreated is a betrayal of the kids’ trust. Again, I’m sure it was heat of moment and he didn’t mean it. Anyone would be shocked and upset after being tossed by five police officers after covering the same beat for a few years now. But it’s a bad look.

At least Ivins knew to put the brakes on his texts. Whereas the Northwestern coach escalated it to a whole new level.

They won a title. That don't make a **** of a difference. That doesn't equal you having a fully loaded team nor does that say the same for the district. You guys get caught up on that So Florida **** too much.

At one time. When you looked up recruiting rankings. You would see plenty of names in the top 100 in the nation from the Miami area. Now you just see IMG and Fort Lauderdale.

Outside of Fleming. Whom on that roster is looking at going to a P5 this year? 3 guys from MNW this year are in the top 150 in the state. 2 of which will end up at some low level college.

I'm not even counting James Cook but it doesn't look like we get whom we want from MNW. Since taking the big MNW class under Randy. We've landed 1 top 50 player in the State from MNW. 8 others went elsewhere. Place blame how you see fit but we don't get who we want from there.

Another thing about all this is that Ivins has no bearing on recruiting rankings. 247 isn't waiting on his evals for any kid so his threat is pointless and nothing but an emotional outburst. It was stupid on his part but kids aren't losing scholarships or stars because of what Ivins wrote about them.

So yall expect someone to write glowing write-ups of players at schools they don't have access to? Seems pretty simple, if you evaluate and report on hundreds of kids yearly, who are you more likely going to talk about more glowingly - the great player that you know and have seen personally at practice, or the great player whose practices you get escorted out by cops at.....I think Ivins' point is pretty simple..

I think this is EXACTLY what Ivins meant; he just didn't phrase it as well.

Yeah I watched my brother in law dominate people in camps, Stanford Samuels in particular is one that comes to mind. And boy would I get some dirty looks by the coaches when I would get hyped for my brother in law. Quickly made me realize I was cramping their style with recruiting when I was vocal about the won rep. They were less concerned about evaluating this unknown who was killing people and much more concerned about stroking the ego of the 5 star (at the time) who just got beat.
Theres a piece of the pie in it for them. Last thing they want is some kid who cant get them no bread making their phony evaluations look phony to the fan base as well. Most coaches or fans dont take the time to properly evaluate recruits. Logistically speaking it's just not possible. The services get paid on both ends. That's why people that actually do this know camps are a joke in itself.

That's crapola. The kid has nothing to do with his issue one way or the other. It's one thing to tell them I'm sorry but I haven't had access there and I dont know one way or the other. It's another to bad mouth a kid and sabotage his future potentially because the school has an issue with you. Ivins showed some female ways in that instance.
