OT: Hurricane warning

The Abacos, along with Bimini are my favorite places on earth. So many memories of spear fishing, drinking and chasing young tail in Treasure Cay back in the day.

They are about to get wiped off the map.

Makes me so incredibly sad. I pray for all the genuine and truly wonderful people of the Bahamas.

The Bahamas are going to be demolished. Pray for them.

I know that according all the models this thing is going to come to a screeching halt at Freeport and hang there for two days, and then head north, it’s going to be basically 90 miles directly east of my front door for about two days.

It’s a scary thought.

That's what Frances did, but never went north. I lost a roof in that one.

hopefully it turns after. the Bahamas. Im on the Jupiter Martin county line where if it doesn't turn were hit dead on

Been through so many hurricanes I can’t remember the name. I hate it when one in pointing at you and the only thing saving you is a bunch of geeks saying it is going to turn. This one really turned bad the last few hours. Sure hope it turns because it si going to hurt bad if it rolls straight in. We are just south of dead on right now. Although, what better way for a Cane to go out. Everyone stay safe.

Thing is they don't know whats going on lol been saying it all day. average deviation is 70 miles well if its 20 miles off the coast when turning thats a deadly 70 miles.

LOL It will not "definitely" be a Cat 5 tomorrow, man. Stop. Could it? Sure. But is it some guarantee they already know like you say? Absolutely not. And, in fact, several models show it pulling hard north and not even touching Florida. Granted, the overwhelming predictions show it coming to our state, but the point is nobody "knows" for sure at this point. There is no way even TO guarantee such a thing. Hurricanes are fickle things.

Told ya **** boy...

Haha. Definitely get what you're saying. I'm in Lauderdale and I have my boy Johnny Morales saying don't worry about putting up shutters and he's being backed up by Bryan Norcross. Then you look at the map and it's like this thing really needs to start accentuating that north movement and not so much that west movement (even if it's moving slower than D'onofrio and Golden in a three legged fatboy race) soon because it's running out of real estate.

The most annoying aspect with these is always the thought of waking up the next morning and being greeted with panic on all the tv broadcasts because that 5am projection has showed a massive last minute shift. Well that and the **** hitting at night.

I’m in Broward myself. Bought the accordion shutters years ago. Takes me about an hour to secure everything.

Can’t abide the Gator fans who were taking their generators back to Home Depot because they heard it was going to be a fish storm.

Lol no you didnt tell me anything. You made it seem there was some conspiracy to hide the fact they already knew it would be a cat 5. There wasn't. And the more accurate told ya **** boy would be the fact the hurricane is pulling north and not likely to make landfall in florida, exactly as I stated above.

Haha. That's up there with the clowns on that NextDoor app that were selling their recently purchased generators last night.

One dude was like "It's still in the box and I don't need it since it looks like we're in the clear..."

Then you see he's asking for double the retail price of the thing.

Definite Gheyturd logic at play there.
