-He has a supposedly bad history here when he was really young on the staff. While a long time ago, I don't know much of that would still be held against him. But could you imagine him with Strawley and James? lol. Also the dude has to be like one of the king bagmen in the history of cfb. He wouldn't work under this admin or this highly watchful NCAA era.

-Up until last year he was a mediocre at best HC and more of an energy guy and recruiter. He was terrible at Ole Miss outside of getting them a lot of talent, and at USC he actually did a solid job replacing Kiffin. I'm sure his prior experiences at Ole Miss plus his seemingly knucklehead persona gives off the appearance that he's an idiotic Louisiana hayseed, and more than likely cost him a chance at USC. But his ability to adapt at LSU has been really impressive (he is also one **** of a dline coach but that's a different subject).

-I can't tell if last year and this year are a flash in the pan with him or not, but I'm leaning towards the latter as a guy who has learned from his mistakes (dealing with team in more versatile and charismatic way than treating his qbs, etc all like dlinemen; more finesse with the media), can bring in tons of talent (see LSU last year and their current class this year), can adapt to address his program's shortcomings (making sure to keep Aranda, researching and bringing on Brady after realizing the offense had been stale for many years, not changing the great elements of the program like Corey Raymond, etc.)

-The key will be what they are like after Burrow graduates.

-I guess we'll truly see at Alabama how far they have truly gone under him.

Not familiar, but could u elaborate why or how the bad blood began?

He would BOMB here.

LSU is a place that buys recruits. He is a guy that doesnt g a f about stuff like that.

LSU is choc full of talent and has been from some time...they finally adapted and went to more of a spread look...something i thought we did this offseason...boy was i wrong

Red faced fall down drunk with a very opinionated mouth. He doesn’t drink anymore, but our administration cares more about memories/feelings than realities. He’s aggressive and the soft shouldered liberal administration does not like that. He’s a Republican and our administration is literally 100% Democrats. Lastly, Ed is a great recruiter. Kids love him. Personality wise, that doesn’t fit with the administration. They really do enjoy being elitists. Ed’s an every man. Ed is old school Canes football. He’s not welcome here. For those that don’t know, the best drinker ever at Miami was Dennis. Legendary

every hurricane website/forum/subreddit when his name was discussed all said the same thing, **** of a recruiter dl coach, but as a HC he's a corch.

Literally didn’t nobody on here think he was capable of doing what he’s doing now
He needed to have great coordinators and be a head coach. It’s finally happening for him. We all knew this could happen, but he would never determine his own success on the field. He’s a program manager, not a coach. He’s doing a great job and winning. He will lose is OC and eventually his DC. It’s lightning in a bottle. He’ll have to find new ones and we’ll see...

Explains a lot. Thx.

Certain places care about football.
From boosters, to fans, to administration.
They spend insane amounts of money for the best facilities, and best coaches/staffs.

The boosters do their part with the bag men, and boom you get Alabama, Clemson, LSU, UGA, Ohio State, OU, Oregon, etc...

Coach O is a likable, face-of-the-franchise guy who is terrific with elite talent, elite coordinators and staff, and piles of money. Without that, he's not gonna X and O anyone. Have to love the guy, but wouldn't be a Miami fit.
