Interesting to see where this goes. Also kinda illustrates the dangers on the culpability front to have a guy running around like Swasey without the industry standard certifications that even remotely thinks about pushing kids to the limit in conditioning drills.

“Ex-Oregon football player Doug Brenner is suing the NCAA, University of Oregon and former Ducks head coach Willie Taggart for $100 million in damages after suffering life-long injuries during a series of controversial workouts in 2017,

Taggart plans to attend the trial along with former strength and conditioning coach Irele Oderinde, who has also been named by Brenner as a defendant.”

So dude sues Oregon for effed up workouts and people bring up Swasey - WTH does he have to do with this?
Subtle racist bullshyt, Canes still workout with Swasey. Stay on the Ducks, Ducks.

C'mon, bro. The ONLY reason Swasey was invoked was because a main crux of this kid's lawsuit was that the Oregon conditioning coach lacked certifications. Like the article makes a pretty clear point of that.

Every lawsuit, even bad ones, has a settlement value, particularly when each entity is insured. Chances are that the kid will likely walk away with something.
