i agree.. we can get to 11th place in the standings. I think we get there with just a convincing win over Pitt this weekend, regardless of what BYU does.

I was just saying there's zero chance we'll be the 11 seed. I implied playoffs by saying seed.

Not how it works nor is it going to work.

Reality is you HAVE to be 10th to get an at large bid.

Miami only shot is that because the acc likely won’t tilt in favorite for title game.

Miami should be ranked #7-9th. But blowing two BS games to teams we should have defeated by 20 will tarnish the season.

What’s not brought up with the obvious bias for ND and others is the committee is also expected to validate Miami ranking because they are HOPING/PRAYING we do the typical Miami/mario move and LOSE to Pitt.

If we get in as the ACC champ, I think there's a decent shot they leave us as the 11-seed (especially if nobody right above us loses). If we get in as an at-large, it means schools above us have lost and we'll be the 10-seed or higher.

If we get in as the ACC Champs, it means two more ranked wins (Pitt and ACC Champ Opp.) which would most certainly vault us over Conference Championship Game losers currently ahead of us.

no way we get in as an 11 seed as an ACC champ.. we would easily jump ND by then (every P4 champ would be above ND except for a G5 champ or a P4 champ with 3+ losses).

We would also easily jump the SECCG loser as well.. so I could see us getting up to #8 and even hosting a playoff game as an ACC Champ.. we'll end the season with 5 straight wins, and 2 ranked wins in the last 2 weeks.. you can't get 2 ranked wins and win a P4 conf championship and go 11-2 and move up only one spot....

Fair enough, although I wouldn't put anything past this committee. They have made it clear that they have zero respect for the ACC, so I don't know how much those wins would really matter. And as far as "easily" jumping Notre Dame, you'd think that wouldn't even be necessary, but here we are...

Oregon is a weird team to get a pulse on. When you watch them they obviously have a lot of talent, but something is just…off…I can’t explain it. They looked pretty good this past week against USC but in many ways I think they’re a lot like us…loaded with talent and when they bring their A+ game they’re going to be tough to beat.

Hiring coaches is hard lol stoops was considered doing more with less for a while. Freeze had his time but it seems to have past him at P4 and he just didn’t get QB right
