How many times has a giant extension been publicly reported and not signed this cycle? From what I seen, the guys that leave don't even give the school the option. Anyone yet to take it?

I am just catching up on the threads from this afternoon now, so I still have some to read. But...

There is no way this offer wasn't on the table weeks ago. We weren't the only school going after Mario.

The rumor/reasoning on the Oregon boards was that for Mario's last 2 contracts, they have waited until after the PAC12 Championship Game, so as to not be a distraction.

My questions are (i) who leaked this, and, more importantly, (ii) why now?

Oregon is playing to go to the Rose Bowl tonight. Seems like an awful time to leak this out... can only be a distraction for them.

I am having a hard time connecting the dots here.

I find it incredibly ironic that our cheap at all cost university will now grossly overpay Mario hahaha incompetent in every way. But it would for **** sure be an improvement

Who cares about overpaying? It’s a bunch of rich guys’ personal money. Not like we have a salary cap and he’ll probably get whatever he wants to be successful here.
