IMO, Dawson has his flaws, faults. Has tendencies.Nah man...It was good enough to win 16 games this year, when we took our heads out of our asses.
And why was he "handcuffed" with the QB and WRs in Year 3 as OC?
Not letting him and the staff off the hook so easy when getting Beck was considered a strong offseason move.
I am shocked and or dismayed that my hard hitting, straight forward, 100% true (unless it's not) reporting is being doubted! I used like 100 words to make clear and concise points about what is totally (maybe) happening, unless of course, it's not!Just based off the candidate names I know it’s bs. Nobody wants Dorsey as a OC. And candle just took the UConn job. He wouldn’t even leave toledo to come here
OP prob going off this post lol . Id say more then likely KB then anybody if truee
Facts . Dawson is good , people are really brain ineptBe careful what you wish for.
We can do a lot worse than Dawson.
Mario’s track records hiring OCs has not been good.
It is the same account that said Toney was in the portal. Dude nothing on X is real unless it comes from real sources.LMAO. "Rumors on X." Bruh, come on.
AFCA was last week. We didn't have any coaches there that I noticed. I went Monday for a 35 under 35 thing with a buddy that made the list this year. Ended up sticking around to see Lashlee's session and snuck into the end of the coaches panel to see Dave Aranda. Ended up at the RPO session Tuesday before I drove back home.Is there a coaching conference for the NFL that happens around this time of year? I feel like I remember that from the other coordinator searches, but maybe it’s just because there is so much movement in the NFL this time of year.
My gripe with Dawson is why does it require being in the red zone to get creative? For example, that second TD for to Fletcher was a thing of beauty. He ran that rainbow motion with Mally and the whole defense ran that way a never recovered. Why can that type of play not be used on 3rd and short on the other side of the 50. I am genuinely asking any X and O gurus in here.
From my vantage point, IU took away anything in the A-gap. There were successful runs to be had running Duo/IZ, like on Fletcher's first carry. He just had to cut the right way. He did that on the first run. Go back and watch the 2nd & 6 run on our second drive, Fletcher went left on IZ when he should have went right. We walled off the right side great on the IZ scheme that the LBer tripped Fletcher on in the 2nd Quarter too; would have been a big run but for the cheating. The play action pass to CJ on that drive was 100% because of the success we were having running the ball on that drive. #7, their safety who has been in college for a decade, bit on the fake and CJ found open space in their zone.I believe it was due to the fact that we couldn't manhandle their defensive line. Mybe he could have adjusted sooner.
Beck couldn't hit the broad side of a barn downfield. What Shannon did with the O with those limitations is something else, really. Every game we lost we lost because of a Beck INT. You think he didn't limit us?
It’s been said he’s the one who turned down Mendoza. He was limited. But we hung our hat on getting an injured QB from the portal/league. Did Beck become limited at 7:50pm on Monday night?
But then became unlimited at the start of the second half?
Biggest game of Dawson’s life and the offense did **** for 2 full quarters.
IMO, Dawson has his flaws, faults. Has tendencies.
But it can also be true that his QB limited his offense. That manifest is many ways: physical, mental, etc.
You can be limited as a coordinator if you are a mental midget like, TVD, Kosi, Williams who have the physical traits in terms of arm or the lack of arm strength like Rozier, Beck, Emory.
I thought Beck was pretty fantastic this year and was a great leader. As smart as he can me on the field, he also has a reputation for throwing interceptions at in opportune times going back to Georgia. It’s a fact! Our dreams ended because of a Carson INT and he was clearly limited by his lack or arm strength.
I am sure Shannon would like to call more throws down the field. He had to be cautious with what he called. But I also get that even with Cam, he was calling those ******* tunnel screens ad-nausea. But obviously the offense was way better with an arm talent and brain talent like Cam.
I am confident he would cook with Mensah.
when did you change your name back? you confused the ****e out of me. glad i now recognize your porstsAFCA was last week. We didn't have any coaches there that I noticed. I Saw Manny Diaz and his crew and they did their usual thing inviting people up to their suite with a cooler of beer in the middle of the after party. Had a few beers with a friend who is now on Florida's staff and his buddy from when they were both at GT.... who is apparently UF's pass game coordinator... I was talking **** about them bringing in Philo to be their guy too. I was thinking he was just another off-field type guy.
First time I had never seen a Miami staffer there. This was also the first time we've been playing this late in the year LOL
Yesterday now that we took the L it was safe to make the move backwhen did you change your name back? you confused the ****e out of me. glad i now recognize your porsts
