At the time, there was no NIL available for any of them.

Yearby's biggest problem was he wasn't Davin Cook. He was what he was; another year was not going to improve his draft stock. With a young child, I can see why he went pro. For his sake, I hope he got his degree.

The one I couldn't understand was Fortson. He wasn't ready and could have used another year.

Getting a vet proven LT would be great, but if not they do have Mccoy and or Pancake who can slide into that slot along with a lot of younger players that could potentially step in. Wouldn't be optimal, but could still be workable

Need Seaton who would be an upgrade. Our coaching is that good that people think Seaton won’t be an upgrade. Once he gets coached and the fyzical culture sets in, Seaton would dominate.

Look what we did with Bell who has holes in his game. His stock is through the roof.

Seaton would probably be the best player on the team with mirabal coaching him

Also that when the news reaches our ears about a departure, rest assured it most likely did not "sneak up" on the staff. I'd wager most of the moves being made on both sides have been in the works for weeks if not months.

what I am saying is the players you are talking about we're pre NIL & these guys needed the money(NIL$$) now days with a payroll of over 20m$ guys like Bell can take another year in college...... Yearby, Forston & Bandy needed $$$ pre NIL

Still doesn't make sense. The draft grades were what they were and those draft grades weren't not real money.

At the time and with hindsight, the decisions were beyond dumb

None of those guys could have improved due to their physical limitations. They all were what they were.
