I’m confused. Who said don’t ask about his throwing? I don’t believe I saw that anywhere, but I could be wrong, show me.

How is his throwing going though?

Not to single you out, but I keep seeing similar posts. What do you expect to hear? That he can throw 25 yards downfield whereas last week he was at 15? That velocity is at 60% as compared to 50% the prior week? Kid is young. He’ll be fine. We’re not his PTs. We don’t need to track his weekly improvement.

See here’s my problem. Why do the BIG PLAYS have to be fewer?

Because taking the safer check down usually doesn’t result in a big play but it keeps chains moving and doesn’t result in a turnover. Cam Ward was a big play hunter. He would often put himself and/or the ball in jeopardy by waiting for the long developing deep route to open up while ignoring the simple pass. That’s great if you’re a magician like Cam. 99% of the world isn’t, including Beck.

If the financial reporting is true and we paid around $4M for a 1 year rental and the offense isn’t structured around what “he” does well instead of trying to square peg a round hole then it might be time to fly the banners.

He’s done his due diligence, they hired him it’s up to them to make it work. Both parties have to be committed, and all things seem to be melding. Continue to do the homework. Facts is Facts.

Are you serious?

This regime is famously tight-lipped. The spring game was not televised. Filming and photographing was prohibited. We don't even learn specifics of a player's injury other than maybe lower or upper extremity. And you want updates of Beck's throwing schedule? How would you ever expect that released or discussed? And even if it was, what would it even mean to you if none of us are aware of what benchmarks he should be at at any given time? At best, we'll be fed company line "he's ahead of what was expected," which means little.

I just don't know what you expect to hear about Beck's rehab progress 3 months before the season. I trust modern medicine and the fact he's young that he'll be ready to go come game 1.

I love the comment of “need to know”. Sounds like someone trying to determine their bets for the season

Beck’s “down” season would have been one of the best passing seasons in UM history. He completely carried UGA’s offense which was weak on the line and had nobody at receiver. I put Mike Bobo in the same tier as Josh Gaddis or Dan Enos as an OC. He’s 100% trash.

If healthy he will be one of the top quarterbacks in the country. I don’t think he has anywhere near Cam’s Superman like escape ability but he also won’t try to extend plays nearly as much as Cam does. I expect things to be a bit more structured with fewer big plays but fewer “what the **** are you doing?” Late throws into traffic.

I think a lot of fans are underrating his experience. This isn’t some random G5 guy who’s stepping up in competition. This dude has played against the very best from years. If anything, Miami’s ACC schedule should be a step down for him.

So basically he will scan the field and find wide open wr like (trader) instead of throwing info double coverage deep

From what I’ve read, nobody is telling anybody to “not ask”. People may have their opinions, but nobody’s telling or asking anyone to “not ask”
