This place be weird asf i swear! Its like our own fans dont want Beck to have a better season than Cam to fit there narrative Cam is better. The best player weve had in 20 plus years lol Mfs acting like its no way possible! Georiga played 8 ranked teams plus Florida, Auburn, Kentucky, Miss St, Georiga Tech! Passed for 8000 yards 50 TDS 70 percent completions! We play maybe 3 ranked teams and a ACC conference schedule. But nope theres no way Beck will have a better year than Cam. Lmfao we got some hating *** fans some of yall deserve Emory

Not discounting what the dude has done in the past, but can we atleast acknowledge this was all done with a healthy OEM elbow?

Don’t know about Kirby firing OCs. Monken left for NFL job and previous landed Arkansas HC.

Beck is a down grade as far as athleticism and play making ability, but going from Cam to Beck is definitely great, to best case scenario. Because on the other hand we’d have to go with Emory.

Well Safety should be better. So cb and safety alone is literally 5/11 starting spots - almost half the defense lol. So that absolutely is a lot of improvement…

Also so should EDGE, given Bain’s health, the fact Mesidor will be moved back to EDGE, plus the fact that Lightfoot and Blount are a yr more developed and reports are they’re ready to contribute, as well as our fr 5star EDGE Lowe… while only losing Baron… plus the hope is they aren’t running Stunts every single play like last year….

Tommy John Surgery in Football (especially quarterbacks):

85% to 90% of quarterbacks return to play at or near their previous level.

Revision Surgery (Second Surgery) Rate:
  • Much lower than in baseball — estimates are around 5% to 10%.
He’s as healthy as he will ever be.

No he didn't he was their offensive line coach before he left for Arkansas not his oc. (Sam Pittman)...Monken is the only one that wasn't fired or pushed out

We don't even learn specifics of a player's injury other than maybe lower or upper extremity. And you want updates of Beck's throwing schedule? How would you ever expect that released or discussed? And even if it was, what would it even mean to you if none of us are aware of what benchmarks he should be at at any given time? At best, we'll be fed company line "he's ahead of what was expected," which means little.

I just don't know what you expect to hear about Beck's rehab progress 3 months before the season. I trust modern medicine and the fact he's young that he'll be ready to go come game 1.

Same injury as Brock Purdy and by all accounts he's ok.

I like that Beck comes from a program where the expectation is winning. That’s a lot of pressure and for the most part, he did really well in the face of that pressure. Last year he didnt have a go to WR and he didn’t have a dominant RB or oline and an OC that could be much better. We should have a great oline to go with a high performing OC and our RBs should be equal to theirs at minimum. I think it comes down to WR. Our WRs are young or coming off questionable injuries/situations. If Jojo can break out and we commit to getting the ball into Lofton’s hands the same way they did for Bowers, sky is the limit.

Thanks for sharing. Where did you find this study? Also were the 10-15% outliers complete **** or just not as productive?

OR we are thinking at this realistically with the massive talent/experience drop off from the skill positions that the offense will probably take a step back from being the best in the country last year to being top 20-30, which is still good.

Beck’s receivers failed him last season. Mario has failed to provide him an upgraded WR room from last season. Anyone predicting him to do better than Cam (the best QB in school history) is doing it off hopes and dreams.

Assuming he is healthy (big assumption) Beck is much more athletic than Cam. Substantially faster, stronger arm. Hes not as good a qb, his leadership is a downgrade, and his work ethic is no where close to cam. And of course he is significantly better than Emory.
