One Reason Why Chip Kelly Is A Great Fit At Miami

I would love to see Chip Kelly's offense being run here at the U. I fear though that the stumbling block will be this: Report: Chip Kelly Penalized By NCAA In Oregon Sanctions

Probably a more realistic way to get that kind of offense here would be to hire an offensive coordinator like Scott Frost or Kendall Briles. I would love to see the administration open the checkbook to bring in an even bigger name like Dana Holgersen as OC.

Chip would be great here, his offense would no doubt put up ridiculous numbers. Not sure about their defensive coaching but if you remember the NC game against Cam Newton and Auburn, they were completely shut down minus the Michael Dyer run. I'm gonna text my guy to see if he's heard any thing on this. Regardless, if we end up with Chip, Butch or Herman we're gonna be back sooner rather than later.

More hard headed than our last coach

Except our last coach had the combination of being hard headed and being a bad football coach.

If Kelly could come here and go 46-7 over the course of 4 years and have us in the title hunt every single year, then he can be hard headed as much as he wants to be.

It is okay to be hard headed when you win a ***ing chit ton of games.

What elite sfl wide receiver would want to play in Chip Kelly's offense?

The whole benefit of Chip Kelly's offensive system is that it schemes WRs open with route concepts & tempo. If you can run & catch you are an "elite wide receiver" in Chip's offense. He never had a go-to receiver at Oregon yet Jeff (JAG) Maehl still outproduced Benjamin, Hurns, Dorsett, etc. by a good margin.

There's no shortage of under the radar jitterbugs and reliable, tough WRs in SFl to produce for Chip. Only this fanbase (segment) of crybaby idiots would perceive SFl WRs as a negative factor smh.

Did he ever have to deal with NCAA sanctions or has he only caused them?

Flame away. For the record I think he'd be a fantastic hire but I like to ask questions.

Chip Kelly Da 1 true Gawd has this poRster shook!

I mean be honest. It's not like Chip Kelly ever went into a situation where he was already down 30 scholly's or taking over a team that had only managed to win like 27 of their last 72 games.

Chip Kelly took over a program that was winning 9-11 games regularly.

Once again. I'm not disparaging anyone's opinion I just want all sides to be considered.

I do love Butch Davis though.

Oregon wasn't a 9-11 win program before Chip took over. They had a few good years and a lot of mediocre years.

I'm not even going to try and get in on the Butch vs everyone else cult talk, but Mike Bellotti left Chip with a great foundation. As much as people try and claim Chip won with 2 and 3 star recruits. He acquired 3 top 30 class, 2 of those were top 20 and one was ranked 11th in the nation.

Oregon was nothing prior to Bellotti. 14 years prior to Bellotti 75-83 and 14 years under him 116-55. Only once was Oregon in the final top 25 prior, and 4 bowl appearances. 7 top 25 finishes and 12 bowl appearances with MB. Chip and Mark both have done a great jobs continuing on with what was laid before them.

Seriously as if that isn't enough.. it doesn't even truly give you a picture of how he accomplished it.

Here are his average 4 yr class recruiting rankings while he was there.

2009 27.75
2010 18.78
2011 18.25
2012 17.5

No coach has won the title int he last 20 years being ranked outside 13 and the avg is 7.

Kelly is beating biatches like this with subpar talent. That is a fact.

Now imagine his FN record with top 5 ranked classes like FSU, OSU and Alabama gets.

A Chip Kelly hire would be a dream come true. It would also send shockwaves through the college football world. Kelly would be no1 followed Gary Patterson at no2. Chip Kelly would NOT be a home run hire. Chip Kelly would be a Grand Slam hire!

Not only a grand slam hire, but one to close out game seven of the world series. ****, it's over if this happens.

Im not questioning his hire. I think it would be great. I do however, have this funny image in my head of our players trying to survive two a days while running/defending his offense. LOL

Devil's advocate: is Kelly more of a sure thing than Rich Rod was when he went to Michigan? High power offense guru with little taste for defense. Just wondering; not trying to start anything other than conversation.

Teams recruited by Butch Davis = 4 NCs -- they are so good he didnt' need to coach them.

You're giving him all the credit while taking it away from a lot of other coaches who had a hand in what you're claiming for him only.

How about this. 0 NC's as a head coach and at his last stop, best win total of 8, never finished higher than tied for third in the Coastal, 0-4 against their arch rival NCState, and all while having a boatload of NFL talent.

Is this really a question? Seriously?
