When Xavier Lucas came into the picture, Miami knew it was oversigning at CB. The expectation was that the player(s) who finished on the losing end of the battle might jump in the Portal. That's what happened here.

Salute to @Memnon, @JayCane20 and others for actually watching Karnley's film and identifying some holes that showed themselves on Greentree. He showed flashes, particularly when carrying vertically, but he was more inconsistent than his peers. Damari Brown's strong showing upon returning mid-Spring was probably the nail in the coffin of Karnley's UM career.

This **** is exhausting. Feels like yesterday, D-Money was hyping Karnley up as a guy with NFL traits and the guy real scouts thoughts was the best player in the Arizona secondary last year.

Some serious issues with the portal, this being one of them. You shouldn't be allowed to transfer with no penalty multiple times in a calendar year.

I was pretty open that I didn’t watch any Arizona film and had no basis to evaluate him either way.

I was going to judge him on Greentree, and he was clearly behind Lucas, Frederique, O’Connor and Brown on the outside.

With all these departures, does this finally free up enough cash to not settle on jags?

There's honestly not that many non-jags in the portal. I'll share your sentiment if we don't at least make a play for some of the better guys in the portal. But honestly there is not that much out there (Haucey/Pena obviously 2 of them)…Maybe see some more enter in the next few days.

Just lost the guy that outplayed Tacario Davis last year. ****

More just venting that they need to tighten the portal rules. Karnely made a choice to come here, got paid, and now is leaving since he didn't win a starting job in spring ball. Instead of grinding or putting in work, he ran. Typical of a lot of athletes these days. I'm sure he would have played a lot for us.

Plenty of other people didn’t vouch for the take, including me. It was dismissive and almost insulting how quickly people were dismissed, being accused of only watching highlights on X. **** is comical. There are people on this board that know the game and watch a **** ton of football. I know we are the regime mouthpiece, but this was obvious from the jump. Rant over.

Go look at the original thread and form an opinion about it, but this is a bit of gaslighting on how this played out up front. I think it’s creating frustration
