On Emmanuel Karnley...

More just venting that they need to tighten the portal rules. Karnely made a choice to come here, got paid, and now is leaving since he didn't win a starting job in spring ball. Instead of grinding or putting in work, he ran. Typical of a lot of athletes these days. I'm sure he would have played a lot for us.
Do we know how the payments work? Think there must be an installment schedule and if so he probably gets a pro rated amount.

I saw right away that dude was cheeks. Didn’t watch a single bit of game film on him and didn’t need too

It's a good question that I'm sure varies player or player or team by team. My guess is singing bonus then an installment schedule.

This **** is exhausting. Feels like yesterday, D-Money was hyping Karnley up as a guy with NFL traits and the guy real scouts thoughts was the best player in the Arizona secondary last year.

Some serious issues with the portal, this being one of them. You shouldn't be allowed to transfer with no penalty multiple times in a calendar year.
Nobody should be able to dictate where someone plays ball or works or both.

My guy D$ is in business with the school now so can’t trust his evaluations anywhere. He says what the school wants out there. I miss the days when we could get an honest take.

I never pretended to evaluate Karnley and was pretty clear about it.

My evaluation came later from watching him on Greentree, and I can comfortably say he was behind Lucas, Frederique, O'Connor and Brown.

I think they’d rather just get someone who has played safety. That process is ongoing.
How much of this is related to the new DC? We went super heavy before he was hired. Was this always kinda the guess that some incoming transfers would leave?

Yes, they knew going in that the loser(s) of the battle would leave. They wanted to bring in enough competition that we could solve the problem at CB. There was also some uncertainty with Lucas.

Who cares? We brought him in, he was the lowest man on the depth chart, so he bounced. I really don't see why this is even an issue. He didn't bang anyone's wife while he was here, did he? So who cares? He was here for a cup of coffee. We needed immediate help, we just threw a bunch of **** at a wall. Whatever didn't stick, would get swept up. He's the non-sticky ****. Move on.

I feel like some of yall have zero ability to see anything that isn’t black and white. If someone is brought in it’s because he must have been viewed as an elite recruit lol. He was CB5 portal add. Again don’t see the problem with his add or his leaving. What if he outperformed Damari? Would have been a good add then… and again even though he was before Lucas he was never more than just the CB4 add….

It was the equivalent of nfl teams just understanding the more swings you have at draft picks (including doubling up at same position), the more likely you are to actually fill your need.
