On CharMar "Marty" Brown...

Redshirt sophomore so hopefully we’ll have him at least one more year.
I am interested to see his progress and if he develops into a draft pick. I mean right now I would assume UDFA so candidly I would not be shocked if he is making more at UM in NIL than he would as a UDFA. Now if he continues to gain speed and strength all bets are off but I wonder if we will start to see some of the guys trying to stay in college longer knowing the NFL might not be a guarantee and why not stretch out the NIL as far as it can go.

We most likely will have him for one more year after this year.
agreed, but barring injury I am okay with the pipeline and depth we have right now. Fletch gone after this year so Brown stays as the bruiser back, Lyle returns, Pringle returns, those are likely your top 3, CWH time may be getting limited and then you have another big back in Mallory coming in as a TF.

Are we sure Fletcher is gone after the year?

Sure? No... just he is on pace to likely have a very good year, I am unsure coming back next year changes anything and RB shelf life is worse than when you hit the age that you start buying vegetables yourself and realize how quickly they go bad.

One point that I think is interesting is we used to see guys jumping to the league to try to get a quick payday, I think there are a plethora of guys making more $ in college than they ever will in the NFL. I dont think Fletch will blossom into a first round pick so perhaps he does stay to get his degree, cash checks and continue doing what he has been.

Fletcher is such a pro-Miami kid that I can see us help ensure he gets a nice NIL bag to come back. We just saw what happened to DMartinez — I wonder if DM could go back in time would he have come back? I would think so.

Gotta think Fletch will get a NIL package that outpaces what he would get in the draft by at least several rounds.
