OMG....Trevor Harris from Edison just gave best interview

Forgive me if someone has mentioned this already.... But all I hear is old Solinger for RB coach.... How about Alonzo?.... Tell me he wouldn't be a **** of a coach and a monster recruiter for this university.... This guy bleeds orange and green.... Always is sticking up for the U, even if its against these corrupt people on this city....

Alonzo has a pretty good job in the NFL as a senior executive with Green Bay. Not sure why he'd take a RB position at UM.

Does he have to live in Wisconsin?

This interview was so dominant.

This class is the result of two things:

1) The NCAA purposely dragging things out to hurt us as much as they can
2) Ice Harris and Luther Campbell putting their racial agenda ahead of the lives of young men.

Randy Shannon did more harm to this program than Shapiro, the Pell Grant stuff, and $EC recruiting combined. The man is a virus. The fallout of his tenure is that clearly schools may now fear hiring a black coach b/c apparently, no matter what, they aren't allow to be fired or people will try to burn your program down for it.

Ice Harris, Randy Shannon, and Luther Campbell, with their pathetic behavior, have done far more damage than good in terms of promoting deserving african american coaches.

Add Shalala to the list, because she was the one who decided to hire an illiterate clown as HC simply because his sad upbringing inspired her in ways that are meaningful at the type of social engagements she attends with other liberal elites.

Im certainly no fan of Shalala, who clearly has been trying to make us a basketball first school for a decade. She finally has her wish.

But the Randy hire, like the Coker one before that, was the result of a lazy fat Gator named Paul Dee who is responsible for the worst UM athletic period in 30 years. May he rot in ****.

That is complete bull****, IMO. Dee was heading out the door anyhow. Randy was Shalala's pick. He 'inspired' her, or something.

The soft discrimination of low expectations never has been more clearly illustrated.

Harris is chomping at the bit to spill the beans about what shady stuff is going on with BTW and Luke's agenda. He just doesnt want to ***** over any kids and potential college opportunities.

Just listened, that's an excellent interview from that gentleman. It's a shame that Edison isn't putting out a lot of D1 kids.

The ONLY reason why Edison doesn't put out more kids, is because of recruiting by the private schools, and the public powerhouses. Hard to go up against STA, American Heritage plant, American Heritage Delray, Gulliver Prep, Central, Booker T, Columbus(not that bad), Northwestern to some extent, Killian, etc..... From that interview alone, if you didn't realize how dirty and how many "shenanigans" go on In South Florida recruiting. NOW YOU HAVE A GOOD IDEA. Look at what's going on with the ALEX COLLINS situation. And that's at Plantation lol. Imagine what happens at these schools who pump out HIGH D-1 talent on a regular basis. It's up to Golden on what he wants to do though. Does he want to play some of those GAMES or not.

Its not necessarily recruiting (though there is a lot of that going on particularly with some of the private schools you mentioned). These things go in cycles and always have. Miramar is currently taking kids that used to go to Carol City when Walt Frazier was there. Booker T popping up took kids that used to go to Jackson. Kids want to win and get exposure and because of the various loopholes they can go to any public school they want and travel in packs to the few good coaches in the area. When Corey Bell was at Edison they won games and got players that werent from inside the district. Add the private schools to the mix and its a cluster****.

And its not just at the high school level. Optimist football down here is populated with all sorts of unsavory characters and hangers on. We have a ton of talent down here, but no money. No money means we turn to a lot of volunteers and under qualified guys without background checks. For every good guy trying to make a difference for kids, there are 10 guys trying to make a dollar off kids. Its just the way things are down here and its always been this way.

Well its time to change it. Enough already.

How so? You going to put millions of dollars into the public school system and optimist football to clean it up and staff schools and parks with coaches with clean backgrounds? The County sure as **** isn't going to. But if you want to build a baseball stadium, here's a check, just make sure you have enough luxury suites with cocaine buffets for all the commissioners

First, i dont know why sedano has kept sileo on qam. Hes unbearable. I listenedtoday because i knew he was having people on about all this stupid nonsense.

Sileo got owned. Edison's head coach straight up said that he, other so. fla coaches and parents love Al Golden and respect him. He said he knows for a fact three of the kids that went elsewhere went because of ncaa cloud. Says yhat is the first thing recruits and their parents ask Golden. He went on to say that other schools come in and essentially tell kids and their parents that UM will not exist in a few years becaise of the ncaa. Told sileo that he would bring him along because you would not believe the stuff other coaches tell him on trips.

He said that Al Golden is the first coach to remind him of Schnelly. That is ridiculously high praise. Says he trusts him with any of his kids without question. Believes Al does more for inner city kids han other coaches amd that he actually cares about the kids.

Now that is high praise, coming from a local coach who has seen it all down here. Kids, parents abd most coaches love al and what hes doing.

Yes, he does live there, now...

Trevor Harris probably speaks for a large group local high school coaches\mentors\role models that get sick and tired of guys like Ice and Luke parading around as if they are the only people in Miami that help inner city kids..

with all the people tht complain about golden and say they love UM youd think wed sell out every game. stupid pos in the inner city (LUKE, ICE, etc) thinking theyre the only ones that help those kids. those r the poisons and laugh at people in miami thinking we dont recruit hte inner city bc of donna. people r so uninformed and very dumb.

I'm sure there's a lot of money exchanging hands between UF/FSU and some of these schools down here to run these camps and what not. Al does his camps, tutorials, and retreats on the up and up and what does he get? He gets the big mouf brigade running around screaming bloody murder every time something doesn't go their way.

It's a "legal" method of funneling money to these corches. Guess which in-state schools can afford to pay all these HS corches $300+ per day to attend these camps? Guess which private school can't keep up with that payola scheme?

Honestly, if that's the issue, they need to hit the alumni harder. It doesn't take that much cheese to make a sammich for some HS corches.
