Older players not caring

It's not hard to figure out. We have very few upper classman that play. The film doesn't lie. The thing is that not caring about winning and focusing on the next level go hand and hand. NFL teams are going to watch every snap of game film. They want to know if a player plays hard every down. Inconsistent effort is a tell-tell sign to NFL scouts. Teams will pass on guys or at minimum downgrade them by 2 rounds. NFL teams don't want to waste time or money on a questionable player. They want to know what they're getting and that they can count on that player NO MATTER WHAT!!!

Older guys begin to not care once they realize the opportunity to have a "successful season" is over. Once you lose more than 3 games a team like Miami with high expectations always gives up.

A little winning could go a long way in improving some of the team culture issues. That's why replacing Enos needs to be a top priority. Our first five losses were by 4, 3, 7, 6, & 6 points. It doesn't require an unreasonable amount of improvement in one year to shift that and the attitude within the program.

I think the culture stems from the recruiting area. That doesn't let Manny off the hook for not getting them to change, but it's a geographic culture problem, not a locker room culture problem.

Really??!!

So why are Miami area players so highly sought after by innumerable successful programs that don't have locker room culture problems??

Why would you introduce a supposed "virus" into your program?

Its because they know they have a good strong culture with high standards.....we don't have that

Don't blame all S. Fla players for this inept coach's failures....he did it on his own

Again, you guys keep saying this over and over, but the current rosters and recruiting classes among the elite teams do not agree with you.

So you're saying OSU, Clemson, Oklahoma and LSU and last year's Final 4 teams which included Bama and Notre Dame DO NOT recruit in S. Fla??

A more accurate measure would be how many offers from elite programs do S.Fla kids get. Because that would show if Elite programs wanted them

Because S.fFla kids may choose to sign with other than the elite programs, does NOT mean they those programs didn't want them

Made me think. Miami will be 20,000 leagues under the sea by 2920 or a desert. Not sure.

Maybe no planet.

Maybe my grandkids will be living forever on another planet on a plant based diet.
We aren’t that lucky. We will be 2000 coaches since our last title and still .500 with ******** arguing that we need to try to recruit OL and QBs from Mars because the breeding factories in south Florida only produce genetically engineered skill players.

They also recruit in Maryland and Arizona. Look at their rosters and tell me how many in the 2-deep came from south Florida.

IF you WANT someone you recruit and offer them..... Whether you get them or not is a different issue.

IF elite programs DID NOT recruit S.Fla you'd have a point..BUT They do..They are here in S. Fla like flies year round. So they must want them

YES schools recruit many other areas...you can't seriously think AZ and MD areas are more highly recruited than S.Fla...ALL facts prove otherwise.

The S.Fla area is routinely one if not the most heavily recruited area nationally....its an open and shut case

When BYU won the NC with players mostly from Utah, that did not make Utah a prime recruiting area for other elite teams...nor did it lessen the desire of Elite programs to get players from S.Fla

Miami kids seem to do just fine at osu and Clemson.

You guys literally repeat the same nonsense over and over without realizing that there are like TWO starters from south Florida among the four playoff teams COMBINED.

And you're also ignoring the point that one south Florida guy on a roster full of guys from Georgia and the Carolinas is different than putting 60 of them on the same team.

One would think that a roster full of south Florida talent would dominate CUSA with such a legendary coach..............

It's like the MONTREAL CANADIENS with their players, MOST don't want to play there cause of pressure and don't want the bull$hit . That's why they haven't won in a long long time. 1993 was the last CUP

it was obvious just watching the game. The problem is, Manny cries about the culture being bad.....these are the players he recruited. He is part of the problem
Man that is the most simple minded statement I’ve ever seen…

If you’ve ever been responsible for hiring people for a job then you know that everybody wants to look and sound like did the best when they’re playing for the job. Once they get the job their true self comes out.

Obviously Diaz didn’t go out to try to recruit ******, prima dona players. They recruited the best players they were able to bring in for the short time they had after MR left.

On top of that: the so called coach that we have: he is not respected Diaz is a politician
