Do NOT get me wrong. Jackson clearly in another universe as far as accomplishments but remember toward the end of his tenure with the Knicks? All of the reporting was that the triangle offense was out of date and that Phil couldn't relate or talk to the modern day superstar, Kristaps, LeBron, Melo etc.

That's what we are seeing right now with Richt! His pro style offense is completely out of date and our recruiting class is falling a part down the stretch with decommitments and legacy recruits going elsewhere. 5 star RB Lingard who was reduced to punt protection coverage before blowing his knee out in practice is sending tweets across the bow about bringing Kelly Bryant in and Jarren is agreeing with him.

Not only has the game passed him by but Richt does not have the ability to communicate/relate to the modern day athlete now.

Funny how you compare Richt to Phil Jackson, who is going down as one of the greatest NBA coaches of all time.

Quite possibly the WOAT comparison I've seen here. Only thing comparable is @UMFarArcher comparing BoRtch to Saban, Meyer, Carroll, Jimmy, etc.

Yeah, but you're blind in one eye - and can't see out the other.

Not that you've actually seen much - to start with.

And you're partially right - Butch Davis put together a team that was so great - nothing similar that Saban, Meyer, or Carroll ever matched or even approached.

Under sanctions!

Dumbassness - is actually not a virtue. Just in case you never heard that before.

Brutal post...Phil won a ****load of titles and Richt has never played in one.

Phil Jackson won the NBA Championship in 2010 and retired from coaching in 2011. In 2014, he joined the Knicks as an executive, not a HC. poor comparison.

One of the greatest coaches of all time, who won 11 titles as a HC, is the same as a guy, who has never even been a HC of a team in a championship game. My god.

Saban, Meyer, Carroll, Jimmy...all won...with less talented teams. BoRtch failed.

Malik Rosier is Aaron Rodgers. Remember that perfect back shoulder he threw to Langham at FSU?

Butch would put together 10 recruiting classes that would be on par with the 2001 team. Guy has an eye for talent and will coach players up.

Btw, he's doing a great job at FIU.
