Do we have any more OL coming in the fall?
OT El Gammel (spelling?) and center Clark. Neither will make an impact year 1. Both need a RS year.

Anyone see Manny Navarro's Tweets on Tommy Kennedy. Looking like a mis-evaluated, overrated bust ... already.
Yea? How, I usually try to go in easy instead of just ramming it in there
The Bold doesnt make sense for 2 reasons
1. We let 7 P5 level OL leave the region this past recruiting class. Not blaming Manny for this but its obvious we arent dominating OL recruiting in our backyard.
2. Zion isnt from South Florida.
Iowa has continually recruited low-star athletic bodies and bulked them up to be NFL OL and DL players. Not all of them for sure, but every year one or more. For example this year they have the top 2 tight ends in the draft...
Turns out Manny was right on the mark! Kennedy is indeed a bust.4 practices into spring? Sounds like objective journalism at its finest.
Nelson's latest weight I heard is almost 270 and carries it easily.
This is a fundamental misunderstanding of recruiting. Iowa as an area tends not to be well covered by rating services, for obvious reasons. But it has consistently produced solid linemen over time. Iowa gets to see them early and often, and evaluate them more and better, and it tends to be able to keep the best ones home. Wisconsin recruits linemen well too. Sure, you have to have an S&C program that works, etc. But Iowa doesn’t have some magic S&C that only works for OL. It gets the right guys, and they’re underrated because that’s how the system works.Iowa has continually recruited low-star athletic bodies and bulked them up to be NFL OL and DL players. Some of da Mods have an agenda. Four example, after NY got a well deserved band the first time, they perma band him FOR NOTHING!How does this get a dumb *** warning for Personal attacks but some on here bashes the **** out of me on a consistent basis??
Our program was once all about seeing potential in other positions. It’s fundamental to evaluating HS kids that you think about position changes because the best athletes in HS often wind up playing where needed rather than where they’ll end up in college.I agree with you…to a point. What both Iowa and Wisconsin are good at is evaluating athletes OUT OF POSITION and encouraging/recruiting them to change. One of Wisconsin’s All-America OL was a QB, then a TE before becoming an OL. Wisconsin might’ve spent the last two years bulking up Polendey to turn him into an All-something LT. And IOWA has the highest paid S&C coach in the country.
Make no mistakes, they’re winning with athletes.

Early indications are he has not met our expectations but I think we should hold judgment until the season moves along. My two cents but then again I always get change back.Turns out Manny was right on the mark! Kennedy is indeed a bust.
Yup.He’s gone for good?
Just gonna forget Scaife? We are very light at tackle, so much so we have guards playing tackle for this team. We may only have 3 legit tackles on the roster (Kennedy, Campbell, Zion Nelson)...so the fact that Zion is getting second team reps isn't surprising.
Just gonna forget Scaife?
