How do you know Chud would be here for a while? Based on what facts do you make this "I am adding something to the Board post"?

He had one year as an NFL HC, where the team traded off his starting running back in a move that looked to be made for building for the future and then canned the guy. Maybe that's why they are the Browns. Hardly chewing him up and spitting him out based on his past experience as a coordinator. You have no factual data to support that he will not coach in the NFL again, especially since the NFL is full of retreads. He may not coach in the NFL as a HC again, but because "he will be highly sought after as a coordinator" he may get the opportunity to be a head guy again down the road.

According to this board our program, school, stadium and administration are terrible, what makes you say the head coaching job at the University of Miami in 2014 is better than a NFL coordinator spot for Chud?

great idea, but you forgot Ray Lewis as LB coach and Clinton Portis for RBs. and can't we find room for Santana Moss to coach special teams, as he is likely retiring this year.

Is this a joke? We've gotten better every year since he's been here, and I think wed all be pretty surprised if that doesn't continue next year. We have top ten talent next year, if we go 9-4 with them then there's an issue.

He stuck with the program and pulled some stud recruits to go to a mediocre acc school with other coaches saying we were gonna get the death penalty.
A lot of the upperclassmen on this team were just not good ball players.

I'll admit the in game coaching wasn't great this year but I've still got faith in golden recruitin and developing players. Losing him would set us back again.

Laughing at the fact that some people think Strong wouldnt consider Miami. Miami football is by far the more prestigious job whether there in the same conference or not. If u think NCAA cloud didnt assist him in recruiting south fla youre crazy, lets see how he do now. We can give half effort for a recruit that he's going after(Gayot) and snatch him up. Strong has the opportunity to be a good at Louisville the team that he's trying to mold into being The U of old but he has the potential to be great with the real Miami and I doubt he doesnt realize that. Agree Strong is one of the 10 highest paid coaches in the country and Louisville has a larger athletic budget than Miami so they will always be able to pay him more. Finally, Strong's contract with Louisville has one of the largest buyouts of any coach in college football. Bottom line we cannot afford him.

To see first hand how schiano ****ed away my bucs i would have to disagree. He got a lot more out of the owners than ANY previous coach had.

Bringing him here would be another golden type move.

LOL... Just take a look at Strong's contract and then come tell me if he consider coming here. When I say then Love him at Louisville... i mean they LOVE HIM!!! They are willing to pay whatever to keep him. When you have a really good coach you do whatever is necessary to keep them. Thats why they pay Strong so much and Pitino

I said no, but this is the best answer. I just want to know (one way or another) what the answer is in about a week or so. If he wants the job; say so, take it, and leave. Same goes if he doesn't want it. If he tries to drag this out just to get a raise after the way the season went I'll burn his house down.

He gets a nice long term deal from Penn State and gets to come in an "rebuild" again. The rebuilding at Miami is done for him. Unfortunatley, we all realize (including Golden) that his brand of football just won't work down here. He also gets to save Dnofrio's career.

I think Al pulls the trigger knowing we have 3 amazing options who would be begging to take the job. Al loves our program and would be doing us a favor.

Rob Chudzinki, Greg Schiano and Mario Cristobal are all available.

Chud is the most highly regarded of the group and would be a star here. Was our best recruiter under Coker. Chud would be HC/OC and Dorsey would be on the first plane down to serve as QB coach/Asst OC. He would certainly ask Mario to come back and serve as OL/Asst HC. Chud is an offensive genius. Nobody can win in Cleveland.

Chud is the guy to take this program to the next level. He is Jimbo Fisher without the twang and overall doucheness.

Charlie Strong wouldn't even take our call. Neither would (insert name of hot college head coach here).

"Golden really has no choice"? That's an absurd comment. Assuming PSU offers him the job, of course he would have a choice. What you meant to say that you believe that PSU is the better choice for Golden, based upon your speculative assertions that he'd get "a nice long term deal."

And you're beyond delusional to suggest that UM having "3 amazing options who would be begging to take the job." First, our alleged prospective head coaches would not weigh into Golden's decision at all. Second, in what universe are you living that these individuals would be groveling to coach at UM. Chud as coach- really! I do not recall him being much of a recruiter, and recruiting is the most important task of a college head coach.
I remember Chud when he was part of the TD club in Miami, and he does not strike me as someone that would draw recruits to him. Lacking in the charisma department.

Butch is getting old now and if he goes a couple of years without a conference ship, they'll be flying banners over the stadium again.

We have gone through the Coker and Shannon Eras, and 3 years smothering NCAA bullsh*t. What we need for now is stability and vision.

We have a bunch of Jerry Jones wannabes in here who want change just for the sake of change. Good recipe for sustained mediocrity!

No...we haven't actually. From year 1 to year 3....in what way are we better as a team? Defense still sucks since the first year. Offense is still mediocre and terrible against good teams. We still get blown out by every good team we play. How have we improved every year?

He's had 3 years to coach the upperclassmen....if they're not good after 3 years of his coaching...that's on him for either not coaching them up or not finding better players to play instead of them. Either way it's his fault.
