Would You Be Upset If Al Left For Pedo State?

He gets a nice long term deal from Penn State and gets to come in an "rebuild" again. The rebuilding at Miami is done for him. Unfortunatley, we all realize (including Golden) that his brand of football just won't work down here. He also gets to save Dnofrio's career.

I think Al pulls the trigger knowing we have 3 amazing options who would be begging to take the job. Al loves our program and would be doing us a favor.

Rob Chudzinki, Greg Schiano and Mario Cristobal are all available.

Chud is the most highly regarded of the group and would be a star here. Was our best recruiter under Coker. Chud would be HC/OC and Dorsey would be on the first plane down to serve as QB coach/Asst OC. He would certainly ask Mario to come back and serve as OL/Asst HC. Chud is an offensive genius. Nobody can win in Cleveland.

Chud is the guy to take this program to the next level. He is Jimbo Fisher without the twang and overall doucheness.

Charlie Strong wouldn't even take our call. Neither would (insert name of hot college head coach here).

It would be very ballsy to take a job that has not been offered to him.

Zero chance on Orgeron. If Chud is interested my guess is he's at the top of the list. I think we'll know very soon, my guess is PSU is talking to Golden right now.

Dorsey has done a great job with Cam and is always being hyped as a guy to watch in the NFL.

Butch and Petrino would never be allowed to even set foot in Moral Gables, so there goes that.

So Id have Chud as my #1 candidate should Golden bolt for Penn St.

Has NFL experience? Check.
Has spent over 14 years in some capacity at Miami? Check.
Played for the U? Correct.
Has learned under the great Butch Davis and other outstanding coaches? Uh huh.
Like all successful college coaches, hails from either the south or Ohio? That's a bingo.
Won't rely on coordinators and is himself an x and o guru? Show em what he won.

Guys, this is too clear to me. Spread the word. We found him.

Chud is about to make 10.5m or somethin to NOT coach the Browns. He is going to be really expensive I would think.

That Chud had that 10.5 mil in the bank can work out for Miami cuz he might take less money since he will be still getting money from the nfl

The smart move for Golden would be to take that job. Al Golden at best is a 9-4 coach, he knows that and many down here are starting to see that. He can coach for a long time at Penn State with that type of record.

wat. He has improved our record every year he's been here.. how can you be so certain. I can tell why you're in the red.

O'Brian threw a serious crimp in PSU's search with his departing comments about "Paterno's people". You know it had to be really bad for him to actually say it as he's going out the door.

These are the best options that are realistic given the scenario:

- Mark D'Antonio......guy is a proven BCS coach with the perfect D, makes less than AG does now
- Greg Schiano.....we wanted him before, but we're looking for cheap bc we were still paying Coker. Different situation now.
- Butch.....same as above with Schiano. He'd be tops but our pansy *** admin might be afraid.
- Charlie Strong....great choice but very expensive

If you couldn't get them I'd look into Patterson and Chud. Anything else and fold the program.

Those are some good choices there... Although I think Chud is an NFL guy now. Once guys get a taste of the NFL paychecks, they seem to want to stay there. The only way they come back is if they get tired of being tossed around. College gigs offer more security.

If Golden leaves.....

HC Rob Chudzinski
OC/QB Ken Dorsey
DC DJ Eliot (Was grad assistant here in 2001. Current DC at Kentucky under Stoops)
OL Mike Sullivan (Was grad assistant here in 2001. Caoched OL with Browns under Chud)
DL Kevin Patrick (DL coach at USF)
DB Mike Rumph or Hurlie Brown (HC at American Hertiage)
WR Lamar Thomas (Hey why not)

1000x the staff we currently have.

I don't care about being in the red on a message board. I care about Wins!

Either Golden cannot coach or he is running a scheme not suited for the talent on this team. Be it the former or latter, that is evidence of an individual who is in over his head here. Golden really belongs in the Big 10, that way he and his best friend can run that defense, which is better suited for size than it is for speed

Where is it or does it say anywhere that AG is leaving, where is this **** cokming from?
I would not mind if he left if the next coach is great and can keep the class together and if he cant it would criple Miami to lose who we have. Keep him for 1 more year I say, and the only guy who can keep the class together would be strong. We still would lose the NJ kid Hester and others including Kayaa. It really isnt worth it right now as much as it sukcs right now, it feels like this prgram is on its last legs and I dont thin we can take a blow like that.

I think Chud would do to us what O'Brien did to PSU. Once the NFL starts calling, guys like him always listen... However since Chud, an Ohio native, was fired by his hometown Browns, Chud might be more willing to stay in the college game. I don't know.

Chud would be here for a while.

The NFL has chewed him up and spit him out. He will never be a head coach in the NFL again. He will be highly sought after as a coordinator; however, the Miami HC job is a little more attractive than that.

Must have been a **** of a conversation you had with him. Next time you talk to him, tell him we wish him well and Go Canes.
