There are ways to get them information without talking to them directly.

Not really, this is an unusual case. Golden is a PSU guy through and through. Most people thought he would always take the PSU job if it opened up.

Miami has never been a destination job historically. We have to stop hiring the safe guy.

The program has fallen for a number of reasons but I tend to believe that Penn State is the only CFB job Golden would take right now. It's his dream job as a PSU alum.

We've never hired the safe guy. And our guys leave for the NFL or with pink slips in hand. No shame in either of those situations. This?? It's different - I'll give you that - but no less unsettling.

Of course Miami fans are going to say it's different but I think that's BS. It is what it is (and it sucks.)

This. As long as he was happy with the money, I don't think he'd leave for any other job (unless he has NFL aspirations)

He is holding our program hostage with donofrios defense and now with the direction of our program with our recruiting class with his silence about the matter to our recruits. He needs to make a decision very soon. We can't lose anyone in this class....
 
I am going to the chicken ranch and rhythmically slap some 2 bit hooker if Al decides to leave for Happy Valley in "a matter of days".

True dat. But, she also grew up 45 mins away from PSU's campus and worked in the AD at PSU. Strong bond.

Al's folks also live in Naples. Plus, the talent in South FL is second to none. He can still recruit Penn and NJ from here but if he leaves he'll burn all the bridges for him to come down to south Florida and recruit.

They won't hire somebody within the next few days. When has Miami hired somebody in a few days when a coach bolts or is fired
