Soccer Official soccer/futbol thread (Europe/USA).

All true. No lies told.

He has made some adjustments and tactical changes (despite losing to a 3rd division team in the Pokal). Dortmund is like chicken soup to the Bayern soul. They seem to cure our problems 😂😂

The tactical adjustment of allowing Harry Kane to drop deeper and be involved in the build up has been huge. Need to get more depth in January. We are thin and injured all over the place. We are barely hanging on in the CB position.

I am happy to be wrong regarding Tuchel but it wasn’t looking good there for a while.
I don't count the Pokal loss, we've had two prior, talented coaches do the same.

Haven't they turned over the football operations to some billionaire Brit now?
But if they've been so good for United, why would they possibly need to do that?

By the way, don't kid yourself. They're still majority owners.

All I know is while SAF was still around the Glazers were not an issue. And SAF backed them.

Since he has been gone no matter who they run out there as manager can't bring them back to their former "glory". Even guys who have won everywhere else fail at Man U, still one of the biggest and richest clubs in the world.

I'd say ManU's problem is they are looking more and more like a one manager club. That is not the Glazers fault.

Heck even Citeh has won the Prem with more than one manager, while Man U is heading towards pre-Klopp Liverpool territory.

I promise you whatever you say and how much it makes sense, madcane will dig his heels in, tell you you’re wrong, and you can sit back and wait to be proven right.

I feel embarrassed watching this national team (Germany) play football.

My father, born in 1970, said this is the worst performance he has ever seen and that means something, that man has forgotten more about football than I have learned.

I can make an analysis here and share some thoughts but I'm actually unsure if I want to. It's... phew. Pathetic. Coaching malpractice from top to bottom. Worse than Mario on Saturdays...

Gegen Österreich kann man schon mal verlieren, Bender…😂😂…Sorry couldn’t resist. Ihr habt zwar die Kicker, aber derzeit keine Mannschaft. Rangnick macht hingegen ausgezeichnete Arbeit hier in Ö. Kopf hoch, kann eigentlich nur besser werden.

Ja, eben... Schlimmer geht nimmer.

You are wrong about all of this. You will see when United is finally freed of the Glazers. And if you don't think City's success is 100% due to its ownership's willingness to have an completely open checkbook (for manager and players), and nothing else, I don't know what to tell you.

But go ahead and keep claiming that you, sitting at your computer in northern Florida, know more than van Goal, who actually managed there and directly dealt with them.

Have you gotten a single take right? Antony was going to take over! Sancho! Van de Beek!

Plenty of teams have done far more with far less spent than United. United’s net spend in the last five years is only behind Chelsea, and that is because Boehly spent like a drunk sailor. Who is probably also proof that it’s not just money spent but spending smart. Liverpool, Villa, and plenty of other English sides being proof of spending smart and having good results.

Why let the facts get in the way of reality.

Ding ding ding! You have somehow stumbled upon the truth, shockingly enough. Now combine what you just posted, and Louis Van Gaal's comments above, and you will figure out the issue at United. Hint: it's an ownership spends with the goal of prioritizing commercialism over football.

Some of us have been saying this for years, well before LVG said it publicly. Juvie knows.

Sorry but not buying it being that simple. First problem is they had a very long stretch of continuity in manager and being able to build a team in his vision. Since then it’s been one terrible hire after another, and with each one they have to reset the roster for the new style and buy the guys that manager wants. Look at this round with Ten Hag.

Sure the Pogba and Sancho signings didn’t work out but everyone wanted Sancho, so I’m not sure you can just say vanity signing. Similarly, they spent an unbelievable amount on Antony and I don’t think you can say that was for some marketing driver.

God needed a libero today. He took the best.

I'm just posting in here to say that Manuel Neuer is still the best goalkeeper in the world. He has been, he is and he will be.

Debate a wall on that, everyone knows it.

The point blank save he made yesterday was filthy.

I always laugh out loud when he gets a touch past midfield. Guy has a blast out there.
