***Official ACC Champ. Game UM Ticket Exchange Thread***

we requested 8 and got 4 in Sec 133. Alum and green level donor for many years. the other family we go to games with got the same tickets, a few rows up.

in a stadium that holds 75k, only 10% is initially allotted to a team? that makes no sense.

That let's you know the scam is on. So if we get 7500 and Clemson gets 7500, that leaves what? 60,000 tickets.

Tickets have been on sale in the ACC website for months.

ACC has sponsors that get ticket allotments

The Panthers (who own the stadium) have PSLs (Personal Seat Licenses) from their members that gives them access to tickets

Dr. Pepper (game title sponsor) gets ticket allotment

ESPN (broadcast partner) gets ticket allotment

this makes sense, but you would think a larger allotment would be made for the participating schools.

Exactly what I wrote, and don't expect anything different for playoff seats.

Not quite. But good work anyways.

Schools get 25% of tickets each for playoffs so way more will be avaliable

What scam? We could have bought ACCCG tickets for the past nine months. They aren't going to hold back 40,000 tickets while they wait to find out who's in the game.

People are so clueless.
First, everyone who bought a PSL (personal seat license) for the Panthers gets access to tickets for all events. Then all the sponsors get an allocation, cause well, they are sponsors. Then they hold seats for each team, but they also then sell the balance early on cause it's hard to predict that two out of town teams on what can be shorter notice than this (clemson and miami clinched divisions early relatively) will be able to sell and travel 30-40k tickets. Thus they sell others to the public. They do this EVERY year, and for multiple years even with all of this, the game doesn't sell out. Sometimes it does.

Yeah, but thats a scam, I assume it was a scam to not sell tickets to sell out on other years.

Thats why I hope Miami gets Rose Bowl if we make playoffs even though I know its a longer trip for most here. Venue holds 92k. Sugar bowl holds 76k. FYI Mercedes Benz Atlanta is 75k and Panthers stadium is 76k.

Only person I know who got all 8 in best location was 30+ years at top level. Person with over 5 years only got 6 of 8 and that was in club. Nothing in the top lower level. Insane what happened here. Crazy that each school doesn’t have option to increase to up to 25 percent or more if there is excess demand.

Seems like there will be a lot of Canes fans going up to Charlotte. The Sun Sentinel reported that there were over 14,000 ticket requests sent into the school.
You have to believe many of those people who were not able to get allotted tickets and Canes fans all over the Country are trying to get tickets on the Secondary Market.
That is encouraging. The Stadium will probably still have a lot more Clemson fans due to campus proximity of course, but still. If we can somehow get a Third of the Stadium or so rooting for Miami it would be very impressive in my eyes.

I may know of two in the upper deck that will be available...........no guarantees but it looks like it.

According to the ticket office, the demand was overwhelming.

I don't know what the official allocations were, but the only people I know of who got their full allocation were Golden Canes (they need a new name, BTW).

The Green Level donors got 50% but no one I know got more than 4 in the Lower A or Club A.

If you're selling your allocations, let's do our best to get them to known Canes here first.

I think we're going to surprise people with our numbers again!

This deal looks pretty cot**** good now, eh? On face value the 7500 seat school allotment seems ridiculous until you remember that the participants may not be known until a week prior and that previous matchups have been as enthralling as FSU vs Dook and Clemson vs UNC. Of course they're going to opt to try to sell as many tickets as possible earlier in the year. All I know is I'm going to be eating A LOT of Bojangles each year as we stay relevant- just to be safe for future games.
