OFFENSIVE STAFF UPDATE

LOL at being ****ed off about Bryan McClendon potentially joining the staff. We'd be lucky to have him.

But he's not a "Miami man," so he couldn't possibly be a valuable addition according to the same types of posters who wanted Cristobal to be our next head coach. They think the only way we'll get back to prominence is by bringing in Mario and as many players from the 2001 team as possible to round out the staff.

Losing both will HURT Miami's connection with the local community BIG TIME. None of the UGA's have connections with the south Florida community. Not to mention as I have said on several occasions those UGA assistants have had the benefit of the UGA Bagman to help land recruits.

Recruiting in South Florida without the $EC money, means you need to have a good eye for talent and also have the local connections to help develop the relationships. I

An yes Kevin Beard has down wonders with the WR's in his first year working with the kids. Keep in mind the WR's were pigeon hold by bad play calling and borderline negligent route tree schematics.

Brad...what are your thoughts on climate change or El niño?

Only reason I worry about losing Beard is because of Bruce. Otherwise, good riddance. Let him take a lesser role if he wants to stay on the staff. Obviously I doubt he would do that though.

If Lice is leaving, it's an upgrade. Isn't beard two years removed (if that) from being a quality control specialist or something? If true, richt is getting rid of the new coaches with the least amount of college coaching experience. I think that's a move in the right direction.

i don't think you can keep an inferior coach on your staff because of one potential recruit..yes i want bruce too but no at the cost of jeopardizing your staff. if mclendon is better than beard than we need mclendon, and i love kevin beard.

Ultimately Richt will be held accountable for what happens during his time here.
Since it's on him...he picks the assistants he want's or doesn't want.

B Mac should coach the rbs, would take a different route with the WR position whether its keeping beard or not. One thing I do like that beard stresses to the wr's is win with your feet. I honestly wouldn't mind if none of the former coaches are kept especially Kehoe. We have to start going for more mobile and aggressive OLinemen.

I appreciate your insight. It's really amazing the level of South Florida high school "insider" one can become by living in their mother's basement in New Jersey. You are a prince among men, ParaBoyCane. Don't let anyone question your intellect let alone your Cane fandom....even as you continually insinuate that Richt is dirty. May you have a blessed holiday season even if your parents and/or probation officer can't legally allow you to play with the neighborhood kids or your under-18 relatives.

Go Canes.

i agree completely, kehoe needs to go..our oline is weak sauce, but i trust in richt and whatever he has planned. i think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Man....that has really been hurting Georgia over the last several years. Probably why they couldn't bring in one person from South Florida.

We sure did great in recruiting with Beard, Ice, etc..

Assuming this is true, both Bmac and Beard have only coaches wide receivers for a year. Too early to tell

So our staffs "relationships" would keep a kid if UGA really did have bagmen down here? lol That's foolish. Is it possible that we were just outrecruited?

what hurts most if he lets beard go is recruiting. he is very close with alot of south florida kids. i thought he did a good job with wr's coley was a much better player this year then last. rb coach was good last year. i don't really see how miami upgraded going from hurlie to tim harris. i really don't. hurlie was rb coach and duke johnson and them dominated. then he went lb coach when barrow left.

frankly id love to keep beard just for his knowledge of south florida but its not like going from beard to mclendon is a downgrade. mclendon, lilly are great coaches. i hope they keep scott in some capacity also but if not im ok with that also.

i think scott deserves a shot to stay he did a great job as interim if anyone on staff deserves to stay its him.

Lol our fans overhype our coaches/players so much. I like Kevin Beard, likes him as a player and think he has a decent future in coaching. But he's shown nothing to justify him as being kept over McClendon. McClendon has put out multiple NFL studs or soon to be studs at the RB position. And it's not like our wide receivers were anything to write home about this year.

Did you see the WRs at UGA under McClendon? Are you dodgeball Al on WEZ if so this post makes sense.

Only in Miami! We want coaches fired for not winning, but when we fire muhfuccas, we need to keep numerous coaches from the failed staff?! Does this make any sense?! Is this real life?! I mean, didn't we learn anything from Shannon's tenure? From Golden's tenure?! Look, we now have a proven head coach leading us, so let the man do his **** job! I could give a rats *** if he let all of them go. They were part of a failing staff. It's a tough profession at times. You get into coaching knowing this. ****, I've been fired from a HS staff after a head coaching change. **** happens. It's tough, but U just put ur big boy pants on and move on.
Oh yeah, you should never keep a coach to secure a kids signature. What must be done eventually, needs to be done immediately.
