Now that some of the Portal news is out of the bag

People not liking this is mind blowing lol. Dudes a three thousand yard passer that can move that’s been surrounded by mediocre talent. On top of that he wants to come here with his family and we wouldn’t have to break the bank. Hes tier 1
sorry dude but I’m still a big mope on him. Watched games and very rarely was like hey I wish he was my guy. If he comes hope I’m wrong

Can you speak a little more to this? I’m not challenging you; honestly curious. I see quite a few dogging him on the boards but I’ve seen almost zero of his snaps.

Some fans are still hung up on the fact that he's not his brother. They will never get past that. As I've pointed out in other threads going way back to 2020 when he was looking to transfer from Bama- he was coached in HS by June Jones (played for the Kapolei Hurricanes), was on pace to shatter every Hawaii passing record, then moved to Bama and broke records there. He's basically an Urban Meyer ideal QB: accurate, well-coached in high school so doesn't need to learn how to throw, and has the ability to improvise and make plays. If you look at the stat line he might not look like much of upgrade from TVD, but IMHO, from what I've seen of Cristobal's offenses at Oregon and UM, I think Cristobal would put Taulia much higher on his board than many UM fans do.

Alabama kicker Will Reichard announced Tuesday he has changed his mind about entering the 2023 NFL draft and instead will return to school for a fifth season.

Reichard made the announcement on Instagram, more than three weeks after accepting an invite to the Senior Bowl.

Wow a kicker not a qb or rb or wr but a kicker, hope that helps you sleep at night. It’s happened 1 time outta the 50+ years it’s been around and it was a kicker

along with all the other QBs who have ever played in B1G.
My point being, the guys who pass for the most yardage aren't necessarily the best quarterbacks. They're usually just the guy who played the most/attempted the most passes. Brad Kaaya is our all time leading passer. Mostly because we haven't had another three year starter at quarterback ever.

Put some respect on the NCAA All Time leading scorers name

You are just continually moving the goalposts. All I ever contended was that it is POSSIBLE. I said the fact he accepted the invite, doesn't mean he can't withdraw. I never said he was. I never said tons of guys have done it. Just that HE CAN withdraw and transfer if HE CHOOSES. You decided to go all in on he isn't allowed. I'm done with the convo. It doesn't really matter at this point. It's up to him and no amount of us arguing will change anything.

Lmao ofc you can leave the senior bowl for injury no sh*t. We’re talking about Pratt and going back to school. You know Pratt made the decision to go to the senior bowl knowing he can’t go back to school. If ppl can go back why don’t we get Cohen to come back??? That’s what I thought
Pratt accepted the senior bowl invite strictly to quiet the noise of him considering a transfer. That was done the day after those rumors started swirling.

It's non-binding. His mind wasn't made up either way. Not saying he gets in the portal or declares but accepting the senior bowl invite was purely for the optics and to quiet noise

Fair enough we’ll see what he does

We have had contact with Will Howard, Cam Ward and Dillon Gabriel. Dawson visited Howard last week in Kansas. Don’t think we will go after Rogers from Mississippi State.

If Michael Pratt enters the Portal or Taulia Tagavoila gets a 6th year/enters the Portal, I would expect us to have significant interest in both.
Rodgers is out. They would take Howard over him. Pratt wants too much money. I have not heard about Taulia. Maybe @Cribby has.

Cam is our #1 option. We might move for a long term option too like Arch and/or the Brock kid from UGA. Dawson is high on Brock.

Arch is staying at Texas and it sounds like Brock is all SEC, with Kentucky most likely. Gaby also just said that the staff preference is to take a veteran QB, which would rule out kids like Dante Moore.

He’s 100% a better WR than Brashard Smith

Brashard is a gadget player and return specialist. Nothing more
Brshard has been here how long and still can't run a route properly? struggles to line up properly. doesnt have great hands. Switches hands with the ball at the 3 yard line to fumble after a 90 yard run.
Makes knucklehead penalties. Brashard is not Devin Hester. a bunch of kids in so fla can run straight really fast.

McCormick? I'd let him go too. Time to get a job lol
Seriously get a job. finish another degree if that's what he wants but another scholarship. Imagine we need to make room for one big whale or good portal DT and McCormick is just sitting there wasting a scholarship. If im riley, arroyo, skinner if he comes back id bounce. No way id sit behind that old man.
