Notre Dame's QB1 in the Opener

Minchey has the mobility edge.

They're going to be a run first team & he adds that extra element that they'll need for their rushing attack.
Exactly. I prefer facing Carr than Minchey. Minchey means you must defend the QB run when its 3rd and 4. Gives the defense something else to think about and we’ve had our share of trouble with running QBs

This is a massive advantage for us.
Minchey is mobile not dual threat. He only ran for 500 total in high school.
They're going to wind up playing both and it'll be a **** show if we can stop the run.
I really like our chances. Take the 2.5 all day
The annoying thing will be if they go on to have a good year it'll be, "Miami got them at their worst"

Would much rather see Carr than Minchey just because of his running ability.

Both of them are going to struggle in the road environment if HRS is going to be what I think it's going to be.

Believe it when I see it. Its more ND utilizing the advantage of the unknown going into it than anything.

I think this has to do with ND wanting us to plan for both QBs, no real incentive to announce a starter so your opponent can plan for it. Especially when your first opponent is a top 10 matchup.

IF that isn’t the case and this is a real QB battle then you gotta wonder if that’s because Minchey has been outperforming their expectations or Carr has been performing under it…

Both will play. Just sellout on the run all day. If one of them can throw it all over us then so be it but they’ll lean on the run game even more then last season and Riley could barely throw. They’ll try to shorten the game similar to a GT imo. Gotta be efficient on both sides of the ball. Their D is going to be elite most likely so get ready for some serious bro ball **** game 1.

I'd honestly rather see Minchey than Carr. We've been carved up by traditional passing QB's under Mario, and I know some of ya'll have PTSD, but give me a guy who isn't a threat to throw the ball.

We will need to be able to pass on their secondary to run effectively.
Agree somewhat but we should be able to run regardless. If the o line is in fact Mario's caveat that he brings in term of actual coaching acumen.

Listen man, there is no way that Carr Isn’t the QB game one. Don’t fall for this.

We have 100% closed practice and scrimmages and they have the lies that they’re telling their reporters.

There is simply too much ridding on this game for any truth to be leaked out from both teams.
I don't know why you're saying that. I just went back and watched the spring game and Minchey got as much playing time. Then Angeli leaves and Minchey stays to compete. He's a year older than Carr so for it to be a forgone conclusion that he's sitting I can't see how he returns.
Carr started camp immediately throwing pics. There was a reason he started as a top 20 5 star and fell to a 4 star ranked in the 150s

For the exact playing time and went 6/14.
Minchey ain’t starting man.

Remember when Kaaya got the start and got here in the summer and everyone said it was because golden was looking for an excuse to keep his job?

Later on, everyone on that squad that was asked about it said that at practice it wasn’t even close. Kaaya was way better.

What else could any of them possibly show you that you haven’t seen already.
This is all bs.
And if the staff thinks that they’re both equal then as the late John Maddens said “if you have 2 qb’s it means you have none”.

This isn’t February. We are 2 weeks out. That coach is either lying or has a huge problem at signal caller.

At this point you need your starter to take a huge chunk of the reps. That’s a well run organization and I doubt that’s the way it’s going.

Carr is the starter.

Also, the possibility that they got lucky and have 2 elite qb’s at the position and they can’t make up their mind is extremely low.

And If it’s really that close then they are both mid.
And Angeli didn’t leave because the coach thought Carr is mid.

Game 1 against ND will be different than pretty much any other game of the season until maybe we face Clemson in ACCCG or an opponent in the CFP. Nobody else on our schedule will have even close to the Defense or Run game+OLine that ND will have. I mean even Clemson will probably have a much better pass game than Run game, but I do expect them to have a great defense. Louisville Or UF may have 2nd best Run game we face? But neither will have close to the defense...
